Tower of Terror 10 Miler 2014

After last year's summer training for TOT, I swore I was done...

So much for that - yep, I'm in again, lol! :rotfl:

Question about being "perfect" for this race..I know a few years ago, there was a Tower of Terror 13k. I'm not sure how many years there was between that and the Tower of Terror 10 miler. But to be considered perfect, do you think you have to have run all the 13ks too, or did they start over in 2012 when it became the 10 miler?

Since 2012 was officially labeled the Inaugural TOT 10-Miler, it's my understanding that if they do anything for legacy status, it'll be all TOT's since and including 2012.

Wow, am I glad I decided to check the boards today! I hadn't received any notification from DVC, passholders, Disney VISA or anything about the early registration. Went to the DVC member site, found the code and now I am all registered! After the DL half sold out so quickly, I didn't want to take any chances!

Just registered my husband through the passholder link. (I deferred from last year.) Did not have any problems. Got the Disney Visa discount by using code "4266", which is the same as it was last year, except those of us signing up early didn't know that.

Disney Visa can register now?

I'm too poor to own DVC and I don't have enough income to qualify for a credit card, all I have is a (not yet activated) annual pass, so I guess I'll have to wait until the 11th to sign up. :/

These don't sell out before the full registration opens up, right?

They haven't sold that fast in the past from what I found in my researching. Looks like I have to wait until Feb 11 too.

I am in. Registered this morning via DVC. I didn't see the 5k but probably will be open on with normal registration day.

Ok so rundisney said no early entry for visa holders but we get a discount? Where on the chase site would I find the info on that because I can't seem to find it?

Which has the best discount DVC or Disney Rewards Visa

I read on Fb that there is speculation that the cap on preregistration has been hit. (So prereg is full) If that is in fact true- then I wonder how fast it will end up filling once it eos to the public.

I think DRV has $15 and DVC is $10.

Do you happen to know if that can be used for more than one person, and if so, does it have to be at the same time?

My son is undecided if he wants to run. I was going to register myself with the DRV discount on Feb. 11...and then wait until he decides for sure before registering him (and well, if he takes too long to decide and it ends up filling up...his loss)

So would I be able to use the code twice-once on Feb. 11 and then again maybe a few days later?

Thanks!

It always takes a couple of months,I've never seen the Florida races fill up like the crazyness over at Disneyland where you have to register in the first day.Well except for the Dopey challenge that filled up like in a day and a half.Does anyone know just how long it took for ToT to sell out in 2013?

I was having problems, too, and tweeted RunDisney and DisneylandAP and they replied that prereg is indeed full. Hope it doesn't go super quickly on the 11th! Kind of bites to have an AP and not be guaranteed that perk.

Does anyone know how long the tickets available through the race are good & if they are upgradable? We want to add days & the WP&M option, but need the tix for 9 days. Thanks!
