Congrats to everyone who has already done their 10ks. My daughter and I run ours this Sunday and, of course, I hurt my knee last weekend. Haven't been able to run since Saturday but I am finally walking without limping. Unfortunately, this is the only 10k in my area before the July 1 deadline so we have to do it. Our time won't be good but I've read on this board many times that any time is better than no time!
I've been following this thread since the beginning and am getting really excited - especially now that I have seen the medal with 2014 on it. Thanks for posting that. It's great motivation. I can't believe that in exactly 4 months from today we will all be gearing up for racenight!

We're in the high-80s/low-90s at this point and for sure - it's an entirely different beast! Time to s l o w it down and focus on form, distance and not keeling over from heat stroke, lol!

and it's June!). So I still have a long way to go! All this POT talk is really making me nervous because there are very few 10k's around here and the only one late enough this month that I could maybe be ready for is a hill run. Plus, I just kind of think my first distance race being the TOT would make it that more special! So hopefully I am not shooting myself in the foot with that. I am running solo so at least it will be easier to dodge between people than it would be if I was running with someone
A good friend who is a runner gave me my motivation, basically she said I can make myself run as fast as I can so I can get to the finish line and enjoy the rides and party since I will be starting so late! So hey, I've had worse motivation.
