Towels

I'm thinking about renting DVC points this fall to try it all before I buy into it. I understand that you generally only get housekeeping for a week a more but what about towels and soap etc.

Does someone stop by with towels, toilet paper and such?do you need to request it? do you need to bring your own?

On the 4th day of a reservation you get a Trash & Towel. They will take away any trash (you can also do this yourself if it builds up) and they will take your old towels and give you new ones. In a 1-bedroom or larger, you have a a washer/dryer in the unit and can launder the towels yourself. Studios have access to free laundry rooms but it is more of a hassle. You can purchase/rent an additional set of towels (4 of each) for $6. You get a start-up supply of personal soap and shampoo and will get more on the T&T day. If you'll need more, you have to provide that. Other supplies like dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, toilet paper, paper towels etc. can be replenished if necessary with a call to housekeeping. A packet of coffee and a small box of laundry detergent are provided on the first day and replenished on T&T. If you need more, you'll have to provide it yourself. (Bringing along the new detergent tablets is one way to go.)
