Hi, :cool1:

I'm staying at both the allstar music and CBR, and I was wondering something. Do they provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, and if they do is it good stuff - or am I better just bringing my own?? Also I read that the resorts give you towels, but are they good enough to bring to the resort pools - or are they not big enough?

Thanks a million!!

I always bring my own hair stuff (I have very fussy hair ;)) when I travel.
The towels are standard bath-size; if that's not big enough, you're welcome to bring your own beach towels.

I would bring your own hair care products. At CBR at the main pool towels are provided, at the quiet pools you need to bring your room towels. They are standard bath towel size.

To elaborate, the shampoo is a "conditioning shampoo" (think Pert Plus), in an orange color. I find the soap to be somewhat comparable to Ivory bar soap, but maybe a little lower in quality. All Star Movies has a liquid soap dispenser in the shower (I think!), but CBR will have bar soap.

I always bring my own body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, but DH happily uses Disney's. (He's not a metrosexual by any stretch of the imagination!)

I find the pool towels to be a bit smaller than the ones I like to use as bath towels at home. I'd bring beach towels if you plan on "laying out," but for just drying off purposes, the pool towels work just fine.

We bring our own hair and body wash and keep the disney ones as souvenirs. We find the pool towels fine at AKL, my mum and dad usually have 2 each to lay on a lounger and 1 for drying. I usually go through 5 in one pool session. They are small but just pick up more than 1.

We also bring our own hair supplies and body wash. The shampoo size is very small and I have to admit I have a LOT of hair so it takes 2 per washing and I also have the fuzzy thing going because of the combination shampoo/conditioner. They are really cute to take home with you though.

We stayed at ASMu and they put out the little bottles of shampoo and conditioner everyday. We brought our own so I stashed the daily supply and we brought it all home to give to DD's friends on our return. They loved the little Mickey bottles.

We used the room towels for the pool, just asked for a bunch of extras when we checked in.

Definately bring your own hair stuff! I also bring my own bar of facial and bath soap. I hate the smell of the Mickey soaps

The Mickey lotion is okay but I still being my own bottle.

We also bring all our own bath stuff, picky aned there just is never enough. I also like to bring our own towels for the pool since they are larger.

I am a shampoo and conditioner snob...I pay too much for my hair to look naturally chestnut (instead of chestnut and gray) to use the cheap stuff :lmao: . When we stayed at ASMo in Oct. they didn't have the soap dispensers in the shower, just the bar soap. I'm not as picky about that.

The shampoo they provide is pretty bad. I would bring my own.
The towels are itty bitty. If you plan on spending time at the pool, I'd bring a beach towel.

Excellent questions, and ones I wish that I had had the good sense to ask before my last trip...

The "Mickey" soaps and shampoo are created for Disney by Hunter Amenities http://www.hunteramenities.com/ They are available in all the resort rooms.

The liquid soap and shampoo shower mounted wall dispensers were removed from the all of the All Star resorts over a year ago. :wave2:

Gee, I must be in the minority here, but I LIKE the soap and shampoo. The shampoo smells good and you get a regular bar soap and a soap for your face. I always use the stuff that comes in the rooms. My DH, on the other hand, brings his own stuff.
