Towel rental at water parks?

How does the towel rental at the water parks work? Is it like locker rental where you get a portion returned to you when the towel is returned? Can you exchange wet towels for dry towels without incurring an additional fee?

Bring towels from the resort. These towel is quite small and you only really need it to save your chair, dry off for lunch, bathroom breaks, & at end of day to change onto dry clothes

It's a flat $2 per towel. When you are done with a towel you throw it in a giant hamper like box. No refunds for returning them.
