Towel Packs

Can someone tell me how many towels you get in the towel package and how much it costs to purchase another? We will be staying in a studio, so we can't just throw them in the washer in our room. We are new to DVC and this is our first stay.

You are given towels for the number of people the unit sleeps. Pool towels are at the pool. You will get new towels on the housekeep day unless you pay for additional housekeeping days.

Is it the number of people in the room on the reservation or is it the number that the room will sleep? We are in a 2 bdr but only have 4 people. Will we get 4 or 8 (that's what a 2 bdr holds right?)

I think you will get 8. We were in the same situation last year and rec'd 8.

Correct. Actually on the 4th day you will get clean towels.

so when we check in we can purchase as many towel packs as we feel we need, right? we use clean bath towels nightly at home, so i would want to do that on vacation also. I guess i was wondering why not have a towel pack per person for the 4 days until cleaning day comes, that way you would have a towel a day...since studios don't have a washer/dryer in the rooms.

You could also pay for daily Trash & Towel service for $10 a pop. They will come in each day and replace the used towels and remove your trash. Instead of you having 20 towels sitting around.

Not new to DVC, but taking our first summer vacation. We'll be in a 2BR and I was wondering if they "replace" additional towel packs purchased on trash and towel day or if I have to purchase another set after. I am not trying to hi-jack the thread, but figure we may want/need multiple daily showers in the summer. TIA.

No, they do not replace towel packs. Since you are in a 2 bedroom, just throw your towels in the washer on your housekeping morning, and leave them there, until after the room is serviced, housekeeping won't pick them out of the washer. Then toss them in the dryer and viola, fresh towel pack
