What do you most folks do with the creations left behind by Mousekeeping?

Undo them and just use the towels? Collect them in your room til your last day? Take them home?

We took pictures of them and left them in the room on the last day. Undoing them is like blasphemous I think.

You know, in all of our trips, we have never had towel animals.

We collect them on the armoire and leave them on the last day.

We set them up with our other disney stuffies. We always have to buy at least one beanie, usually more. I never have the beanies "delivered" to the room.

When we stay at the Moderate, we always put them on the air condition unit so they can see who is walking past our room. Gives them something to do during the day.

we tok one home last month it was just too cute i have it in my bathroom and everyone that comes over comments on it.

Just got back from the CBR - we left mousekeeping a tip each morning, and we were left at least 2 towel animals each day. Mousekeeping left a note on one of the towel creations (an adorable clown with a face and glittery stickers) for my daughter to take the creations home.

Our mousekeeper had made us a towel basket covered in stickers. So cute! I'll have to post a pic later. Anyway, Hersula (that was her name) knocked on my door on the morning of check out and asked how I liked the basket and said it was for me to take home

I have been told also that they are to take home. They expect you to take them. We got one in Nov and we have kept it also. They are so cute.

Guess I should have done my homework; I did not feel comfortable taking it home, so I just took pictures of it and I left it there when we left. Next time, I know better!

Do you think we will get them at AKL? Do you have to be concierge level?
Or stay longer than 2 nights? Or tip beforehand?

Exactly! Our housekeeper told us to TAKE them....I asked her because I was leery about taking them. They are in my Son's room right now. We received ALL of our towel animals from POR and CBR! We have stayed at ALL the resorts and these two seem to have the most towel animals!

We didn't get them in AKL concierge, or in our savannah view rooms or pool view rooms either there. Out of all our WDW trips, we've stayed at GF several times, WL concierge, Beach club concierge, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter, AKL, and the only places we've gotten towel animals have been our concierge stays at the Beach club and our concierge stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Like I said, not during our AKL concierge stay so I don't think it's a concierge thing...just happens to be the mousekeeper who is assigned to your room, I think. I saw someone on another board who said they always go to CBR and have gotten towel animals everytime.

Got back close to a week ago. Got a washcloth turkey studded with stickers at POP and a toothbrush basket at POFQ. Just took pics.

I have never got towel animals, but mousekeeping usually sets up my stuffed animals. My favorite was when they made Isis and cameo (My stuffed kittys) look like they were playing.

We stayed at AKL and did not get one. We stayed at Yacht club and only got one one day. We were told that all mousekeepers do not know how to make these.

The two trips we stayed at the YC we didn't get them at all, even after tipping. The last trip to POP was when I got the towel basket, and I hadn't even tipped her. I kept seeing all the other creations in peoples windows and was wondering how come we didn't get one. I thought maybe it was because we hadn't tipped. Then low and behold the next day we got one. I think I was more excited than DS LOL.

just a note
i left a note with a tip saying that we would love some towel animals. We didnt get them the first day so i left a note again because i wasnt sure if the mousekeeping staff was changing. The next day we got 2 adorable creations a puppy and a swan. I saw our mousekeeper in the hall and thanked her she told me she had a friend on another floor make them because she didnt know how I thought that was so nice. I guess not all mousekeepers know how to make these animals but ours said she had her friend make them because we had asked for them so dont be afraid to ask it worked for us . We did also leave a 5 doller tip each day.

We stayed at Pop Century last Christmas. We were left several but we left them at the room window for others to enjoy.
