when we stayed @ ASM last Oct we passed tons of rooms w/the towel animals in their windows - where did they come from? WE just figured these folks got of the cruise & brought them with them - is that right or were they more special then we were & had them left in their room??

Getting towel animals made for you by the housekeepers is a hit-or-miss thing. Some housekeepers do it, and some respond more to requests and such. I doubt that the arrays you saw were folks stealing from the cruise, though. Very few people would do something like that.

I have found that if I remember to leave Mousekeeping a tip we get towel animals.

We've never received a towel animal, and we always tip! But we did see plenty in the windows at Pop, usually just in one area. So maybe not all Mousekeepers know how to make them. I would hate to think we weren't special enough !

We've gotten them at all the Disney resorts we have stayed at. Never at the S/D.

But the S/D rooms seem to be cleaner. Maybe they should give up the towel animals and concentrate on cleaning the room better. (I'm half joking here )

Having cleaned my share of motel rooms while growing up, I wonder how they have time to make all those animals. Once at the ASSp we had towel animals and towels everywhere! It looked as if it has snowed handtowels in that room!

I brought one home....It got mxed in with some laundry and I didn't catch it until we got home and I went to do laundry..I always take pictures of them so I can remember them
