Well, the mousekeeper told me to take mine home so I did. I guess I'm going to burn in hades now I'll return it on our next trip so maybe I'll be forgiven

Hello- I have tryed to do a search on towel animals and really don't know how, maybe someone with some spare time can. There was a thread over a year ago where the moderator emailed CS who then had it forwarded to head of mousekeeping and asked this same question, who did reply they were a gift, the thread was then locked . I wouldn't normally become involved in a thread like this but I do know that to be a fact. I must say at this point it must depend on who you talk to :



I am a mousekeeper in CBR. We have been told by our managers that it is fine if guests take the towel buddies home with them. They fully expect people to. The towel buddies are all part of the magic, to make your stay just a little bit better. Not ways of trying getting better tips. Jana

Mousekeepers are not authorized to speak on behalf of the Disney company. WDW Guest Communications is. The information in the message you quoted is incorrect. The message I received from Disney is official policy. Sorry.

Probably the most troubling bit is that if a significant number of people get the impression that it is appropriate to take them home, then Disney will be forced to end the practice, and towel animals will become yet another service added to the tally of services curtailed or ended due to abuse.
