Has anyone used the customized touring plans at touringplans.com and if so, where the recommendations somewhat accurate? I realize nothing is perfect (too many variables).

We used them for our last 2 trips. It took a while to figure out adding in the fast passes but otherwise it was good. For the price it seems worth it to me.
