TouringPlans.com?

You can add parades and shows in the PC version. The Showtimes are reflected once Disney publishes the schedule. No hopping through, you have to do separate plans.

Ah, now I see the option. Thanks so much for pointing that out. Your a life saver!

I used Touring Plans last trip....as a newbie it was really helpful. This time round we will have the right data plans on our phones to use the app...overlooked that little detail last time!

As far as being accurate with the new Carsland...it has DL at a 1.5 and CA at a 4.5 Wed. Sept 19th....so I think they are taking the new crowd levels into account. The levels last year were 1-2's. How accurate this will be we shall see, but I think they will be pretty close.

HOWEVER-----I had to e-mail them to tell them Indiana was down. They then asked for a link which I sent. Makes me worry they might not be on top of things as I was hoping.

I just subscribed and got the app. I saw the 1s for the 4th-6th and that's when we're going. Yay!!!!

I have to say the copying their plan to your custom one sucks because it doesn't reflect the actual date after "optimizing", or at least it didn't for me. Also I don't like how it won't let you delete a plan. What kind of an app doesn't allow you to delete. It's bizarre.

That said, the plans themselves look pretty solid.

I was playing around with the mobile app yesterday and I had the option to delete plans. I couldn't see the option to add a Parade or Event though so I was going to just load in a 'break time' around the parade times but I think I'll try it out on the PC first and then try it with just a designated break time to see how it changes

That was only recently announced. So depending on when you wrote them it might have been very fresh news (especially if your link was a non-Disney link).

TouringPlans.com told me that this past May 5th would be a 2. A TWO, on a Saturday. I went, and if that was a 2 I'm apparently in for a VERY rude awakening on my next visit. LOL

It was Friday and I linked them to the Disney web site schedule yesterday. I dropped them an FYI e-mail Friday and they asked to send a link as they could not find it. I don't think they looked very hard......;)

It is a good site and I still think it was worth the 7 bucks to me. I use it as a guideline and would like to see how the app works once we are there. We are prepared for it to be on the moderately busy side and are not expecting it to be as empty as previous Septembers. That being said if it is slower than we are gearing up for that is just a bonus!

I was just playing around with TP just now and thought you guys might get a kick out the glitch that just happened when I hit optimize:

It had use arriving at the gates at 12:50 AM, with Carnation Cafe at 1:00 AM and next a 425 minute wait for Alice. Other than that it looked pretty good though. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Oh dear! You might want to make sure your smart phone is loaded up with some games to keep you busy for the 425 minute wait! :lmao:

NTL, I too, am a big TP fan! Have used them for years at WDW. Obviously with my 1st first trip to DLR I was a little bummed to hear they may not be as accurate. Not going to deter me however. I will still count on them for lines. Since my dates were chosen by a school holiday, the TP crowd calendar for planning did not really make a difference for this trip. :teacher:

I want to contact Touring Plans and ask them questions, because right now I'm really confused about their predictions and their historical actuals for DLR.

For weeks and months I was tracking their predictions for the week of August 20. I received email trackers when predictions were revised for Monday August 20th. I made printouts of the crowd predictions for each day.

But now that I look back on my visit days in their historical crowd calendar, and their predictions listed are completely different from what I was tracking and printing. I don't understand what they are doing, if this is wrong, or what.

Are the crowd levels higher or lower for the current predictions than the historical averages for your dates?

I am finding the current predictions for my dates are higher than the historical averages. I am chalking it up to Cars Land bumping up the attendance numbers compared to past years. I know they say they take historical data as well as actual numbers vs historical data to predict crowd levels for future dates. I am not a statistician by any means, but it makes sense. In my case the crowd levels looked a heck of a lot better when we started planning almost a year ago! That being said I would much rather go with realistic expectations. KWIM?

There was at least one day recently where the historical showed a 1 when it clearly wasn't a 1. It seemed like some kind of glitch to me. I'd contact them just to ask, they were very responsive to me. If it was a glitch at least they can correct the historical so its right if people use it.

I contacted them when EE at DCA was announced to see if it would be added. They told me to try again soon and it was added, within days. The wait times may not be 100% accurate because how could they be, but at least you can use that time to schedule and plan.

Generally their predictions were lower than what they are saying was the actuals. But on their history, for three of four dates they are listing (claiming?) that they also had higher predictions, which is where my confusion comes in.

Here's the disparity with my dates:

Predictions prior to dates. I have a record of these printed on August 10:
Aug 20: DL 3.8 DCA 9.8
Aug 21: DL 3.2 DCA 4.4
Aug 22: DL 3.6 DCA 4.5
Aug 23: DL 3.2 DCA 4.7

"Historical" information posted now:
Aug 20
Predicted: DL 6.3 DCA 8.1
Actual: DL 5.0 DCA 7.6

Aug 21
Predicted: DL 6.6 DCA 8.1
Actual: DL 3.6 DCA 7.3

Aug 22
No historical report -- still showing original predictions of DL 3.6 DCA 4.5

Aug 23
Predicted: DL 7.0 DCA 8.2
Actual: DL 3.7 DCA 7.9
