After a half dozen trips with just DW and myself. We are considering taking our Grand daughter this coming fall. DD is onboard as we can't all afford to go and she wants her DD to go with us... Although I know she will be a wreck, DD that is.

1st order of business is choosing a best time. ??? Last trip was spring break, never again. Much to crowded.
Thinking of October / November . We would travel out of providence, RI. Anything going on at that time in WDW that I should be aware of? Isn't it hurricane season? That would be a good reason for insurance?

Trip insurance, never had it but thinking of getting it for this trip. Have used DVC member rentals many times but I think I would have to go through Disney channels to be able to cancel or change at the last minute?

Flights, I'm thinking Southwest as I believe you cant get a refund but you can reschedule a flight within a year? At least we did that once before. Does jet blue offer anything like this.

Would def. stay on site.

Well, the planning begins again, lol, I actually enjoy it. Off to try and answer my own questions but would love any help you can offer..

1. October's not bad.
2. A catastrophic weather event can be covered.
3. Be sure and read what it covers.
4. That's correct.
