Touring the hotels efficiently?

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

Is there a list or recommended "touring hotels" order? My family and I were hoping to see all the nice things we can't afford, and didn't know if there was a logical or recommended order to seeing it all. For example: hit the monorail resorts first until the TTC then hop to moderates/values/etc.

We will be going over the course of two nights and staying at Pop Century so AoA is the easiest to hit very soon.

You might want to prioritize which ones you want to see. Sometimes it takes longer than you think to get to the resorts. I've never heard of a recommended list or particular order. We often visit the deluxes and might eat there, have a drink or do some shopping. You can take the boat from dtd to the POR resorts or the boat from DHS to the yacht and beach club, and to Boardwalk. We always think of those as attractions - the boat ride is relaxing and fun. Frankly, I think it would take more than 2 nights to do that, unless you're going to just drive in and out. And don't forget AKL - it's amazing. You can take a boat to WL as well.

I love visiting the other resorts!

I've never really seen a list that said what order to view the resorts, but I have seen most people recommend that you tour the monorail resorts together (Poly, GF, and CR) and then the Epcot area resorts together (BW, YC, BC, S, and D). I would probably add the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness to the monorail bunch (monorail between the Poly, GF, and CR, then boat to WL and FW). If you're staying at AoA, I would probably take the bus to DHS, then catch the friendship boat to the Swan/Dolphin. Tour the Epcot resorts and then either take the bus to MK. Walk to CR, then take the monorail to Poly, GF, and back to the CR. Then catch the boat to WL and FW. From there, either boat back to MK or take a bus to whichever theme park you are going to. There is really no easy way to get to AKL, but it's a short bus ride from AK, so I would visit while at AK. In terms of the moderates, you can tour the Port Orleans (Riverside and French Quarter) together, likewise you can view the values at the same time (walking between them, using the bridge get to AoA). In most cases, touring the moderates and values are easiest if you have a car.

I believe the issue you'll face is with Moderates. The deluxes (other than AKL) are accessable via Epcot (and the monorail). However most moderates require a bus.......and you can only get them from park to park.

Best of luck with your tour!

Interesting question! Is your two-night stay going to be spent only touring the hotels, or will you be hitting parks as well (and if so, which parks?)

For MK resorts

Walk or Monorail from MK to Contemporary
Take boat to Wilderness lodge
Boat back to Contemporary
Monorail to Poly
Monorail to Grand Floridian
Monorail or boat to Magic Kingdom

Epcot Area Resorts

Either leave through International Gate between France and UK in Epcot WS or leave from the gate at Studios. Take the friendship boats.

These boats stop at
Swan and Dolphin
Boardwalk
Yacht Club and Beach Club.

Both options can be done without a park ticket. First would be taking bus to MK. Second would be to take bus to Studios and then board the boat.

I have never toured the moderates or values since I stay at those but I've toured all the deluxe resorts - For AKL, when I finished up with AK I took the bus to AKL and spent an hour there before grabbing the bus back to AK. Animal Kingdom park (AK) was still open so I was able to do that easily.

For the Epcot Resorts, I usually leave Epcot by the International Gateway and then tour those resorts which for me just involves walking to each one, wandering the outside and lobby a little and doing some pin trading. I usually do this around mid-day and then I re-enter Epcot since it's still open and finish my Epcot day.

For MK Deluxe Resorts I took a morning off from MK - I took the bus to MK from my resort then hopped the boat to WL and began there. Then when I was done, I took the boat back to MK and walked to the Contemporary Resort. When I was done at CR, then I took the monorail to the other 2. Just like the Epcot resorts, I normally walk around each resort and their lobbies and pin trade at the gift shops and front desk before leaving. Sometimes I grab a snack or meal at their Quick Service.
