Touring Plans Crowd Calendar for May

UG updated the crowd calendar for June so I was checking to see if May had changed. No change for my days, but I was surprised at what I found. The week I am going has three "8" days. The entire month of June has nothing higher than a "7." Is May really going to be busier than June? Can someone explain this to me?

we are going the first week of May and they are calling for several 8 days. I don't get it either. After EAster and spring break before Memoral Day.

Nope. We are going the first full week in May.

Mother's Day is that Sunday so that might be part of it. Although I just signed in to my Touring Plans account and that random 8 then followed by a 4 is making he go "huh?"

I don't know about crowd levels and all that, but I will tell you that I went last year, first week in may (may 1-7), and I never waited more than half an hour. It was a bit crowded, but bearable and the weather was FANTASTIC!

That is strange! I just looked and it looks like there are more 7's and 8's in May than there in in March!

We're going May 4th through 13th, and my impression was that it was a lower-crowd time of year. Any one with more info.?

I am going that week-anything special about it? it is 7's and 9's with one 5 on a Wednesday I don't get it...we have been a few times prior same week and it wasn't terrible, also been the first week of May which was definately not as crowed at all...

I am not sure what is going on in May but we were at 8's all week the week we are going in June and now it is 5's and 6's....maybe things will change again.

The crowd report doesn't make any sense at all. We went last year the second week in May and except for Mother's Day local crowds it was perfect. We did not wait in line long for pretty much anything. We did a resort day on Mother's Day and hit the park for EMH when the locals had left for the day.

It seems like there are a lot of people going the first week in May for some reason. I guess everyone has the same idea!

There is a May thread somewhere and it is mostly of people going the first week in May. We will have to wait and see......

I know of nothing special that week. WAIT - it's my birthday! Yeah, everyone is going to be at WDW for my bday...wait...I'm not. What's up with that.

I wonder if the UG people have folks inside of Disney? They may be looking at room bookings as part of their formula. It does seem that the 4/3 deal is working. The down side is the parks are just as full but the $$$$ are only 57% of the full price.

We always go the first week of May and it is never like that. I will believe it when I see it.

I'm telling you May is never crowded. I'm expecting the crowds to be lower than usual because of the economy. IDK. We will see.
