Please tell me if my strategy sounds okay or help me plan better!
We'll have 1 1/2 days at DL and 1 day at DCA with early entry. High crowd levels expected. Just me and my 10 year old. We're okay with single rider lines.

Arriving in afternoon DL touring plan:
See what fastpasses are available and take advantage of those as much as possible.
See which rides/attractions are short wait and fill in with those.

Full DL day with early entry:
Peter Pan, Dumbo, Alice, Matterhorn, Get FP for Hyperspace Mountain (if park is open), Indiana Jones, BTMR, Get FP for Star Tours, Hyperspace Mountain w/ FP, other Fantasyland rides, Ride Star Tours with FP.
Now do longer rides and get Splash FP when able. Later get Haunted Mansion FP. Ride as much as possible early and see shows and use FPs as available the rest of the day.

Full day DCA with early entry:
RSR, Toy Story, Soarin', Get RSR FP, Scremin' single rider, Fun Wheel, Goofy's Sky School and other rides in that area.
We should hhave plenty of time to do everything we want utilizing FPs when possible. Is early entry plan okay? Other tips or recommendations?

Thanks!

Make sure you have the DLR app to keep track of wait times and FP availability and return times. It really helps you stay organized when you are on a tight schedule. Using single rider is a good idea. You'll find that SR and FP will really help you get more done.

Here's my 2 cents from my 3 visits over the past year. YMMV

SR on RSR and Splash Mountain has been a disappointment sometimes - still a long wait. Maybe someone else has more wisdom on when to know it's worth it. SR on Indiana Jones is wonderful when I've done it. Turns a 45 minute standby wait to about 7 minutes.

RSR FP will run out early.

Alice line can get long too - if the line is < 25 minutes, it's a good deal.

You can have a ST FP at the same time you can have a FP for Astro Blasters. They will have different return times but it worked out great for us - we waited SR for Hyperspace Mountain and then just about walked onto AB and ST.

Early morning entries: big ticket ride lines get big quickly and not all parts of the park are open when I've gone. First things I do: in DCA, Toy Story with no lines; in DL Peter Pan (the line won't get any better the rest of the day) and then get back by New Orleans for official park opening (assuming that part of the park didn't open for EE, it will be empty and you can walk right onto rides).

I used the DLR app in the park and used touringplans.com before hand to understand wait time averages and trends by ride.

Hope you have fun!

Buzz is no longer disconnected from the rest of the park, so this is no longer true.

I think your plan sounds great, my only thought is that you may not need single rider for Screamin' that early in the day.

single rider on RSR is great during EMH...you will be able to ride multiple times. Even after that TSMM shouldn't be bad. Screamin' is right there and easy to pop on (those 2 are at the back of DCA, so once the park opens, it takes a while for folks to get back there.)...this all assumes everything is up and running (not always the case.)
Buzz FP is now connected to the system (and the parks are connected as well), so only one at a time. EMH/MM in DL is only in FantasyLand and TomorrowLand.

Ok, thanks! My DS won't ride it anyway, so he'll wait for me. I do remember walking right on this ride early in the day before.

Keep an eye on the DL app fast pass return times for RSR. It is really fun to be in Cars Land at sunset when the neon lights come on. We usually watch near Flo's V8. Riding RSR in the evening is a blast. When we were there last August they seemed to run out of passes around noon. If you keep an eye on the app you should be able to snag an evening return time.
