Ok, So I'm new at this...we went to Disney (stayed offsite) a couple of years ago and had very little plan. We enjoyed the ambiance but ended up feeling lost at the park.

This time we're staying onsite and i've put a lot of work into planning ADRs. We leave in a week so it's time for me to figure out my plans for each park.

Can someone help me with a MK touring plan strategy? Kids are 6, 4 and 8 months.

What is your list of rides to hit and in which order? I don't want to be wasting time by crossing over different sides of the park (we did that last time...lol)

We have two days at MK :)

Thank you for any insights!! :flower1:

Have you booked FPs? Our toyuring depends on that. So if you have two MK days, you book six of your favorite FPs. I try to book the three for one day in the Adventureland, Frontierland area, so let's say Pirates, Big Thunder and Splash (last, so we get wet closer to noon when it is hottest).

Then we weave in other standby rides in between. So, we might do Jungle Cruise at rope drop, then Alladin, then ride Pirates, then we might do Tiki Room, the treehouse, Haunted Mansion, shooting arcade. Trade a few pins at the outpost, then head over to Big Thunder near the end of our FP window, so we can head to Splash shortly thereafter.

Depending on our ADR, we will either hop the train, or walk over to another section of the park, after trying to pick up our 4th FP. This might determine which section we do next.

Our next MK day, we might do the reverse order, so start in Fantasyland, and book FP for Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, 7DMT, doing Small World, Philharmagic, the carousel, and Belle before moving towards the teacups and Tomorrowland.

We usually do 3 MK days, So our third starts in Tomorrowland. I also book our ADRs depending on which section of the park we will be in. So for day 1 above, we might have lunch at LTT, or CHH, or if I know we are going to take the train after Splash, I might book something on Main Street, then walk up to the next section we are tackling.

Does that help? we always try to squeeze in a couple of rides before our first FP after rope drop before the lines get too long, use our first FP towards the end of its window, then squeeze in some rides or pin trading for the kids to stall until the end of our second FP window, so we can jump on our third FP right after, early in the window, then try to arrange our last so we are near a kiosk to grab our 4th, but now we won't need kiosks, so we don't have to worry about that.

So we try to stick to sections of the park to avoid crossing over too much.

One suggestion I have is to look at touringplans.com. $10 for a yearly subscription and you can make custom touring plans.

Other ideas: we are doing 2.5 days at MK with a 2 yr old and 4.5 yr old. We will do Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Adventureland arrival day (or however much we feel like doing as we will arrive around 3pm). Much of the same the next day though the order is Adventureland and Frontierland, then Fantasyland. Later in the week is Tomorrowland than Fantasyland then whatever else we want. We are doing rope drop and taking midday breaks of at least 4 hours (counting on an hour each way of travel time and at least 2 hours to rest). We are doing Celebrate the Magic and Wishes on one night and Main Street Electrical Parade another night. Don't want to overwhelm the kids nor require them to wait for too many things. We will do Rider Swap on some things bc the 2 yr old can't ride the "thrill" rides. We are doing lots of character meals to eliminate waiting in line to see them in the parks.

Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any more questions.

Another vote for using the easywdw cheat sheets!. But if you haven't booked your FPs yet, you'll have to modify those plans. You might find yourself with little availability for some attractions at this late date.

I second the suggestion for touring plans. The custom touring plans, $10, help a lot. You can also access the estimated ride wait times for free and try to make a plan from there. What we usually do is work around our fastpasses and we hit rides in order.

1. Which day you're going
2. Which rides you want to ride
3. What time you want to start and end
4. Schedule Fastpass
5. Pick where you start and fill in fast passes.

I also do like another poster where we do 2 days at MK and split the park in half. My friend just went on her first family trip and they did this at my suggestion and said it worked perfectly for them as well.
