We did Blizzard Beach for the first time on our last trip and had a blast. We got everything done (some slides multiple times) by 1:00 in the afternoon, thanks to the help I recieved here with my touring plan. This time around, we're planning on visiting Typhoon Lagoon for the first time. But I have no idea where to start.

Can anyone tell me what attractions at Typhoon Lagoon get the longest lines the quickest? What should we do first, other than get a locker?

Sorry I can't help you with a TL strategy since this will be our first time there too... but I'd love to hear about your strategy for Blizzard Beach if you don't mind sharing!:flower3:

Subscribing. We are going to TL for the first time in 3 weeks. Would love to get this info too.

CrushnGusher (water coaster) can get really long lines. I would hit that first. Also, Humunga Kowabunga (intense body tube slide) can also get long lines. The main attraction at TL is the wave pool so make sure you find a spot somewhere near here since you'll probably be spending a good deal of time here at some point in your day. If you get there early, just like at BB you'll get a done done in the a.m. and then you can enjoy the wave pool and the lazy river in the afternoon. Enjoy! :cool1:

Personally, I don't see the need for a touring plan for Typhoon Lagoon. Even when it's been crowded, I've always been able to do everything in a morning.

I agree with the other poster that you should probably do CrushnGusher and Humunga Kowabunga first. But other than that, just do what you feel like.

Every single person I've ever brought there has become addicted to the Lazy River... to the point where that's all they want to do. So I think if you do make a touring plan, you need to allow some room to repeat, or "get stuck" on things you really like (the wave pool, and laying on the beach are other things people "get stuck" on).

Not a strategy per se, but worked for us. At rope drop grab a chair. We got one not too far from the shark pool. Then we snorkled with the sharks (rather cold that early in the morning, but I heard the water gets cloudy later on) Then, immediately to Crush n Gusher. That's the one I got addicted to!!. Then we went around and did the rest. It made for a fabulous day!

Thanks, everyone. I think I've decided what we're going to do, judging by the most popular slides and wait times boards I've seen pictures of.

When we get to the park (at rope drop, of course!), we'll get our locker and then head straight to Crush 'n Gusher. We'll go on each of the slides one time, and then head to Humunga Kowabunga, Gangplank Falls, and then to the Shark Reef. After that, we'll finish up the rest of the slides in no particular order, hang out in the wave pool, and then rest in the lazy river and re-do favorites.

Sound good? :confused3

Has anyone done WP in the morning and do one of the other parks (MK,AK,DHS, Epcot) in the afternoon/evening? Is that to much for one day?

Not for us. We've done that a few times. Except we only planned for the evening in the other park. We tend to lose track of time in the lazy river or wave pools, and it'd be hard to really enjoy the WP if we had to keep an eye on a clock.

We find the water parks to be less tring then the other parks, as the water keeps you cool. Also, they are a lot smaller, so it's less walking.

Are you able to 'save' chairs by leaving towels on them? If you do, are there people who steal / move your towels whilst you're off on other rides?

Just wondering if its worth us leaving our towels on a couple of chairs before we hit the rides :)

We've done it on both trips. We hit a WP in the am usually leave by 2 or so. Back to resort to rest/shower/change and then head to a park for a dinner res round 7ish and close out the park.

And by the way the mini donuts are to die for:love::love: I have been dreaming about them and my chair near the wave pool for almost 3 years.

Crush n Gusher first (ride multiple times!) then Gangplank falls, Keelhaul Falls, Mayday Falls - if you like steep slides - HUmunga Kowabunga. It is really easy to get on the storm slides, so any time of day is good for those. Lazy River gets very crowded later on.

Also just like everyone else - don't forget those MINI DONUTS lol!

In the last couple of years, we would go to the water parks about 2-3 hours before closing. Most of the people who had arrived at rope drop were leaving by that time and we had the parks almost to ourselves. No wait at all and we could do all the slides we wanted.

Also, going after a rainshower is a good strategy. Many people leave when it starts to rain and don't bother to come back afterwards. Those rainshowers usually don't last that long.

Don't you just love when people at the WATER PARKS run for shelter with a little sprinkle of rain:lmao::lmao::lmao:

If the sun is still out when it is raining I stay put...nice way to cool off while basking in the sun!!

Thanks for the feed back. Looks like you are close to leaving for your vacation. Bring on the mini donuts. popcorn:: Thanks for letting me know they are good enough you have thought about them for 3 years. I will defiantly try them when we go. I hope you have a great trip.

We have been several times to the disney waterparks. They are the most relaxing place to be at disney for the day. We usually get to do everything 3-4 times and relax all day with no problem. We get there at rope drop and leave about 4 o'clock and head in to clean up for dinner and then to a park or shopping. My children rather TL than BB because of the wave pool and crush and gusher.

If anyone has any questions I will be glad to answer them...
