Touring Plan for Typhoon Lagoon?

We usually go to WDW in December but are going in August this time so we get to try the water parks. We are really excited! This is kind of a silly question, but do we need to bring towels from the resort or are there towels at the water parks for us to use? :confused3

We usually bring our own but you can rent them at the park for a very small fee from what I can remember from last year.

Has anyone done WP in the morning and do one of the other parks (MK,AK,DHS, Epcot) in the afternoon/evening? Is that to much for one day?

We did it once last time. Got the BB at rope drop, stayed there until about noon. Went back to the resort to relax, then headed to Epcot around 4pm. It was a good choice because the morning was very sunny, while the afternoon was cloudy and raining. For TL we went to Epcot first to do the main rides and have an early lunch. We got to TL around 11am-noon and had time to do most rides. Only waited long for Crush n Gusher. Came back late afternoon to get ready for a late dinner/date night (10 y.o. was spending the day with her grandparents. :cloud9:)

Next trip we want to try going to a park until early afternoon, then heading to a waterpark and stay until closing. :)

My favorite thing at Typhoon Lagoon? WAVE POOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you able to 'save' chairs by leaving towels on them? If you do, are there people who steal / move your towels whilst you're off on other rides?

Just wondering if its worth us leaving our towels on a couple of chairs before we hit the rides :)

If they are YOUR personal towels, than yep, no problem, we even left our Back Packs on a chair covered with our towels with NO problem.:thumbsup2

I am so glad you asked this question! We have never been to TL. We enjoyed BB when the kids were small but that was about eight years ago. I'm going to schedule a day for TL and take the information from this thread to help make it a great day! :goodvibes

I am not the OP, but here's my strategy for BB.

Lazy river....lazy river....lunch....lazy river....lazy river...bathroom...lazy river....tropical drink...lazy river...back to room.:)

hahaha, love it, just watch out for those gators :scared1:

In the last couple of years, we would go to the water parks about 2-3 hours before closing. Most of the people who had arrived at rope drop were leaving by that time and we had the parks almost to ourselves. No wait at all and we could do all the slides we wanted.

Also, going after a rainshower is a good strategy. Many people leave when it starts to rain and don't bother to come back afterwards. Those rainshowers usually don't last that long.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions! :thumbsup2 This is my plan for our trip this year!

If the park opens at 10 on Friday' what time should we be in the parking lot? First timer and have no clue. Thank you :cool1:

Are you going tomorrow? It wasn't very crowded today at all. Very pleasant. Get there before noon so you'll have time to enjoy the park but there is no rush to beat any crowds
