Touring Plan 2/10 no longer exist

I think everyone has this wrong, to an extent. If I were a local (an I'm not), and I am going to go one day over the next week, and the days are as follows:

Monday: 5/10
Tuesday: 4/10
Wednesday: 2/10
Thursday: 5/10
Friday: 7/10

I would automatically go Wednesday because the crowds are supposed to be really low. If a lot of people do this, and go Wednesday instead of the Tuesday or Thursday like they may have planned originally, not only would Wednesday be worse, but the day they would have gone (Tuesday or Thursday) would be slightly lighter. Now, this is not to say one person would change the scale, but if the majority of an attendance group was to do this (Locals) it would drastically affect the accuracy of the touring plans. Kind of like a catch-22.

Last year before Carsland a 2 meant you walked in rides, we did this on Tues, Wed and Thurs, this year now, no such thing. We will come in Jan next year to avoid this stuff.

We were here last week too and I would like to know what day they thought was a 3?

Your theory makes sense, except I don't think a lot of locals look at TP to decide which day they were going to go to the parks. I know I wouldn't.

And while I haven't been in the parks this week, I have been looking at wait times via MouseWait(and yes, I know these are not ALWAYS 100% accurate) and the wait times there suggest moderate crowds. Not light, but not really that bad either.

Sounds like predicting crowds is like predicting weather. People try, get it wrong then everyone gets mad.

I’ve seen a trend in people saying the 5 day was lighter than the 3 day and the 6 day was heavier than the 10 or vice versa etc. etc.

Its possible to have less people in the parks but longer lines, or shoulder to shoulder crowds, but fast lines. Depending on how many cars are in play for a ride, how many rides are broken down, how many people are shopping vs. on rides etc.

I wonder how many people use TP/Ridemax and if it affects crowd behavior.

When we were there last week TP said 6 but I don't think it was over 3. It was just empty.

Me, too. We were there Monday through Friday last week. If there was a day perceived by more experienced park-goers to be a "3", my expectations really need to be adjusted, so I'd just be curious to know which day it was. :confused3

We were there last Sun-Wed also. We expected a busy Sunday, and it was. But, we got there late afternoon, did Animation Academy, Bugs Land, Jungle Cruise and Fantasmic! Crowds weren't what they could have been, though - my mom got the last front-row wheelchair spot in the handicapped section 15 minutes before showtime. I would call Sunday an eight.

The weekdays were less busy, yet still busy - especially trying to get into the park in the morning (lines were quite long and there were big rope-drop crowds). Overall, however, I would rate those days as a 4, perhaps a 5. Not empty, but low/moderate crowds.
