touring DVC resorts ???

DH & I have been discussing purchasing DVC points. We took the SSR tour last year while staying @ BCV on rented points. We are considering a resale. DH has mentioned buying @ Hilton Head, being in NC & beach lovers we feel that we may get more use out of this, but have not made any decisions. After staying @ BCV & taking the SSR tour, we know what the rooms look like (with the exception of decor). I know that OKW studios & villas have a different, more spacious floorplan. We are going to be @ the Polynesian in Oct. for a week. If we visited OKW, would they let us see the studio & 1 BR villas? Pricewise, OKW may be an option for us to purchase on resale market, but would like to see first hand. I hope this makes sense - any thoughts???

After we had bought a resale at VWL we were there for a visit and went to both OKW and BCV and they showed us a studio and a 1-br villa. They were very nice about it and seemed happy to show them to us.

go to the front desk and ask to see a 2-bedroom lock out if availability - if they have one empty they will let you see it - it is a studio and 1-bedroom.

you will have to wait until someone is free - but you probably already know that.

We have done this for VB...

A few years ago, my DW and I wanted to see the layout of a Beach Cottage... We went to the front desk, and they took us on an immediate tour.

CM's were very accomidating, and stated that cottage tours were very common...

We did this, sort of, at OKW. We were already staying there, though, in a studio. We called the front desk and asked to see a 2 BR for a possible future family trip. They were very nice, came and got us in a golf cart, and showed us one. And the rest, as they say, is history!
