touring a resort

Not sure if anyone will even know this but i thought i would give it a shot.
If you go to one of the resorts and ask to have a look at one of there rooms will they allow you to? Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, they will do this!

Last year while staying at Caribbean Beach resort (which we LOVED) we were having dinner at the Grand Floridian and my DH asked to see a room there because we were considering staying there on a future trip. A very lovely CM from the Front Desk took us to see a room and my DH liked the resort and the room so much that we switched resorts that very night! He told them that as long as they had a room with a view of the castle, we would switch. The CM made a couple of phone calls and within 2 hours we were checked out of CBR, into GF and swimming in the GF pool

While we were staying at the GF, we were having dinner at the Polynesian and asked to see a room there. Another nice CM from the Front Desk showed us a room, and NO, we didn't switch from the GF to the Polynesian but now DSs want to stay there next!

As long as they are not busy checking in guests, they will show you a room at the resort. Let them know you are considering staying there on a future trip and would like to see a room.

Thanks SeaSpray for replying so quickly and the information. I want to try and see if i really like any of the honeymoon suites to surprise my hubby with on our annv. in July. We have a family trip in early june.
Your boys should love the Poly we have stayed there every trip that we have stayed onsite. (this yr will make 4)
We love the Poly. I just can't see staying anywhere else as a family. I am one of the die hard Poly lovers LOL
The view and the atmosphere is unbeatable IMHO
