When you take the tour, do they show models of every type of unit at the property- studio, 1-bed, 2-bed and grand villa??

And can you make vero beach your home resort??

Thanks!!

When you take a tour they will show you all the units at SSR, but not at every individual resort. They will also show you the model (I believe it was 1 bedroom for AKV). It gives you a pretty good idea of what they are like.

I am not sure if Vero Beach will give you a tour or not. As for already sold resorts (anything but AKV and SSR) then you can only purchase what available inventory is at the time.

Does everyone who takes the tour get the fastpasses, or is this a sometimes special?

I believe that everyone receives them, if not ask. It was put to us as a way to compensate you for your time. The fastpasses were good at any rides and were not time sensitive, you could go get 3 passes at one time, etc. You received a card and I think it had three fastpasses on each card....so two people would get two cards.

You can go to the Boardwalk, they still have models open.

I am surprised that DVC would have models open at BWV, that is a sold out resort with a constant problem with having enough inventory to satisfy demand.

WHY in the world would they waste rooms as display models????:confused3

I don't understand it, either. If I was a BWV owner, I'd be asking some questions. Perhaps it is legit (maybe the display units never had points sold, so are technically not DVC inventory), but it still seems like they could be put to better use, even if they were made available for cash reservatons. I wonder if they really do get a lot of sales through those models from people wondering around the Boardwalk?

I'm sure DVC wouldn't keep these models open unless they were generating sales. Every time I've wandered in, the sales guy is always talking to someone. DVC must generate enough sales leads and eventual sales to keep these units in the undeclared/developer's inventory.

Maybe being within walking distance of Epcot and being so clost to BCV's they get a lot of interest in the DVC from people staying at the Hotel's, so its easy to keep a salesperson and a model open there? :confused3

Do the fastpasses have to be used that day, or can they be used the day after the tour?

Could someone share with me where the models and sales office are at the BWV? Are they right off the boardwalk still? I thought these were turned into villas that were sold?

Thanks,
maminnie

yep - right off the boardwalk. (at least it was there a year ago. i assume it hasn't been converted recently.)
