How many of us carry our PDAs into the park? What programs do you download and how do you keep it safe? I am trying to decide if I should forgo taking the Passporter and just take my IPAQ

I use Passporter, to assist while planning. When at WDW though, I leave in the room. I also use my PDA (Dell) to help my schedule, and do take with me each day when there. I also download Andy's info here, http://eguidestogo.com/eguide/wdwtga.html, which includes Deb's meal info and Steve's entertainment info. I update all three (Steve's updates weekly, Deb's every few months generally, as does Andy's) just before leaving home so as to be most current. I have referred to all those while there each trip, a nice handy tool to have with. I have been with groups of folks from here on the boards, looking for impromptu dining. Look it up in Deb's for menu items, pick a place, call WDW dining on the cell from within the park, make an ADR for soon after and head over. :cool1:

As for safe, my schedule and all that is interactive with my PC's Outlook, so it is there as well as on my backup on external hard drive.

I love my Palm Pilot. But it isn't the best tool for every job. In particular, it doesn't work great for my park info. But the full Passporter is also overkill in my opinion.

I print out the 10 pices of paper or so I actually need in the park - maps, schedules, touring plans, menus, and put them in a thin bound folder to carry around the park. Works great!

I can second this, Andy's stuff is great!!!!!!!! I love having the menus along. You can also put these on a newer IPod!

I have my own excel spreadsheet on my PDA with ADRS and a rough schedule and as the dates get closer I will make a personalized touring plan using TGM and add that to my spreadsheet as well.

thanks for the info. I guess I can upload my spread sheets that I already have made onto my IPAQ.
