To any of you who have used tourguidemike.com was it worth the cost? I got a code from someone at work and it would cost me about $17.00. I have the unofficial guide and passporters. Is this worth the investment? Thanks in advance for any input.

TGM has been discussed numerous times on the board. Try doing a search and see what everyone has said. Personally I used TGM for my 1st trip but found these boards as well as Passporter a much better source of info JMHO

Personally, I love his site. :lovestruc After my trip in 2 weeks is up, I plan on renewing even though we won't be going back til probably 2007.

If you have the Unofficial Guide, and know it well, TGM can provide some additional tips that make it worth going through.

If you have not read the UG a number of times, and understood/digested the information that is in it, I would spend my time with the UG.

The UG is easier to navigate, and you can take it with you. I know the UG inside and out, and don't typically look in the index anymore, as I know where things are.

I have both, and like TGM, but I think TGM a better resource for someone that already has a good idea of what they want to do, and how to do it.

Great additional info on things like parade viewing, touring routes, and when to do things.

I used the site to help with touring plans. I found they worked quite well and his recommendations of when (and when not to) go to certain parks was especially helpful. I will resubscribe to the site.

I've enjoyed using TGM and find it more helpful than the UG (though I do like it also).

love him! (well, not literally, but love his site and all his info and helpful hints) :)

After using Tourguide Mike last week, I will never go back to WDW without using his site to plan my trip. For anyone who is a TGM subscriber, read the Jersey Week trip report in the forums.

I am a TGM fan as well. I highly recommend the site. As your specific question is whether it is worth the investment, you can easily decide for yourself. He offers a full refund if you are not satisfied with his site. So try it on for size. If you're not happy with it, just ask for a refund. Nothing invested but some time.

But please spend some time with the site if you try it - it can take some getting used to. But it has a wealth of information that is worth the effort. JMHO YMMV

I'm sure I am going to get flamed but, this my PERSONAL opinion, everyone is different. He did have some good tips but the website overall was horrible....it was poorly laid out and took too long to navigate(I am very computer/internet savy)...he does have an intro page and instructions on how to use the site, but IMO any website that needs directions THAT detailed, is doing something wrong...I personally would not pay the money for it. There are too many links on the site and most of them just bring you back to a page you already visited. I would stick to UG...I saw very few differences in the info given between the two. If the site was laid out better I would definitely pay the money, bc even though I worked in Disney for a short time and know a ton about it, I love to keep up on whats new and it gives me butterflies to read about it. But to me Tour Guide Mike is just too time consuming to be worth the money. Don't base your decision just on my opinion, I would also suggest to do a search on here for Tour Guide Mike. Many people love it, so you may too. One other reason I will not get it again is because of some things he said on the message boards on his site and other things people have told me he has done/said. Personally to me, he seems to have problems with constructive criticism, and doesn't seem to put his website as a top priority even though he charges for it.

I used his advice in Oct-Nov (including a MNSSHP night) and was very happy. I absolutely love his advice and think if you will spend $20 on a book....spend it on him.
We will go back in a year or two and use it again!! :sunny:
