Hey all! I Purchased Tourguide Mike. It is vey informative and has idea's I've never thought of. I heard a lot of you used it and had good reviews. I can't wait to put it to use in June. I just hope it works as planned. Would love to hear some more reviews from those of you that have used it in the peak season with children, to hear if it was helpful. Thanx.

Silly questions but what/who is Tourguide Mike?? :confused3

Tour guide Mike was a godsend. I bought books, I read all the sites, but nothing compared to his website. So well worth the $$$. It was our first visit to the World, arrived the Wed before Thanksgiving 2003, spent 5 days and then headed for the Disney Cruise. We have 2 girls, 6 and 8 at the time of our visit. I tell you we moved through Fantasyland like no ones business. Follow Mike's advice, he walks you through everything. My husband called me Tour guide Lisa the entire trip and laughed at how I had a plan for what we did. But I can tell you we waited no more then 10 minutes for anything. He was pretty darn impressed. Enjoy!! Lisa

we have taken my daughter, son-in-law and grandsons over Christmas the last two years. Our travel agent gives a free subscription with a 5 night or longer stay so I signed up figuring it was free so what did I have to lose. WOW! We are so glad we found it and even if our TA stops offering that deal, we will be subscribing to TGM again for any future trips. Both times we did not wait more than 15 minutes for any rides. Usually it was even less than that. It definitely made our trips more enjoyable considering how crowded it is over the holidays!

I'm so glad people are recommending TGM so highly. Now all the people on the disboards can join, and get all the strategies, so when we go at Christmas, the information can be useless.

Oh come on! The percentage of Disney visitors who read the DIS boards is very very small. Even if every single TGM subscriber vistied the exact same park at the exact same time you were there, statistically it isn't going to make a HUGE difference. How many people buy the UOG every year? Many many thousands. Their touring plans don't seem to have suffered because of it. It isn't going to make a huge statistical difference. Fact is TGM is a business. I for one think that it is a fantastic planning tool. Mike himself is very helpful with questions. I recommend businesses I have good service and good luck with. I recommend my dry cleaner but I don't worry he won't be thorough enough with making sure stains are all gone because he's too busy with the dramatic increase in business ( :sad2: ) my recommendations create. I recommend the my hairdresser without fear that I won't be able to get an appointment. I recommend my travel agent without concern that more clients means more people she has to call for codes on and less of a chance for me to get one. I recommend TGM without concern that the info will be useless b/c more people will subscribe. There are 4 parks and not every family follows an identical touring plan to mine. The chances that I will be moving from attraction to attraction in a herd of TGM subscribers and having to wait in lines because of it is minute. If it does happen, I hope they are some of the message board members because they all seem quite nice! And quite frankly, if it does happen I'm smart enough to figure our I should skip ahead to the next attraction to get ahead of the crowd.

:disrocks: I have to agree with Grammy on this one, in fact I hope more Disers DO buy tour guide Mike and follow his advice because I want to talk to EVERY diser I see on my Dec. trip and I figure if we have similar plans we'll run into each other at some point!

For anyone going in Dec. I'll be wearing lime green mickey heads all over!!!!LOL!

Hi there! I used TGM for the first time last June. My kids were 6 and 8 at the time, and it was my first time to be the "planner" (and not one of the kids) on a WDW trip. TGM was exactly what I needed! I didn't know what I didn't know until I got my AVP. If you haven't already, go over to the TGM forums and look at the trip reports link. You'll find mine (I think it's titled "Our Trip Report: June 5-14", or something like that) and others that were done in June. Hopefully that will give you an idea of how useful TGM was to myself and others during that time. :flower:

blitzkrieg048-
I'm a TGM subscriber myself - if you go to the forum and read other people's posts (particularly the trip reports), you'll see how well it works even during crazy busy times like Easter. ;)

I just returned last night; was there 04/22 - 04/30. Crowds were heavier than normal, but we were able to bypass the crowds and ride what we wanted to with very little wait time. Reason? TGM. I think my husband was sick of me saying, "Well, TGM says to do this...blah blah blah" but he was SO thankful for the advice! It really worked - and I consider myself a true Disney expert. I have read every book ever published; every website ever posted... but I will endorse TGM to anyone who asks.
