Tour Guide Mike

THANK YOU CanadianGuy & bigbabyblues for pointing this out. I've been making that point over and over on the TGM message boards and people just don't want to hear it.

I'm probably one of those people :flower3:

The point is just that the EMH *were* released/posted on Disney's official park hours calendars at the beginning of the month. They just failed to update the page that lists EMH dates separately. TGM clearly knew this - he put the EMH on his own calendars at the beginning of the month too.

They were posted, but the problem was it didn't specify what was morning or evening EMH's. You could take a estimates guess though, based on previous months. I had to make my best guesses. You can count me as a little peeved that TGM hasn't got them out sooner, however that is not the only reason I use his site. To work out my ADR's I used the usual logic, a bit of UG best park info and winged it.

I'm a fan of TGM, but I'm a little annoyed at some of the things I'm seeing on the site lately.

For instance... we are going in the beginning of May and he has DHS as both a green and red for the same morning. I don't won't to give the specific day since it against the rules, but how can a park be both green and red for the same morning?

Are you still seeing this because I just looked at the entire month of May, and I did not see what you are talking about. :confused3

I asked for my $$$ back yesterday and for the first time ever, recieved a reply within 24 hours. He did send me a refund, which I will see in a day or two. I hope everyone else has better time planning with him. I've read enough everywhere to figure out what I need to do when on the DIS boards and several WDW books. Plus, it seems that it his site is really set up for people who don't stay at the resorts. For, me, an extra couple of hours at the various parks in the evening is worth a big crowd a couple of hours before when I'll be in a restaraunt eating, anyway.

I am glad i found this thread, cuz i asked about it on another one and they said TGM was well worth the money. But if he is not updating things correctly or putting things up in a timely matter, nor answering emails.. then i really don't see it worth the money. Sorry to hear the rest of you were having trouble with TGM.

Don't count me in with those that don't think it's worth it. He is worth every penny and many, many more! I have never had any problems with customer service, things being timely (at least for when I was going, I can't speak for months I wasn't taking a trip), updates, emails. I joined before my large family trip of 16 of us were going down for Thanksgiving and I know we would not have been able to do/see as much as we did if I had not found TGM.

When I first started navigating around his site, I was intimidated. It was a lot of information! A lot of times I would just print stuff out and read it as if it were a book! It made it easier than to just scroll down with your mouse.

To each his own, but I will never take a trip to Disney without TGM!

Can't people just buy the Unofficial Guide and use the Touring Plans site (included in the cost of a book) to figure things out? Doesn't seem that hard to me. :confused3

That's what I'm going to do. BUT, both TGM and UG seem to always say that EMHs are bad. SOme of the lightest crowds I've ever been in were in Epcot on a Friday with pm EMH. Of course, I'm comparing the crowds for WDW in Feb with Carowinds in July.

For what it's worth, we went at Easter and some of the things we needed never were updated. I emailed regarding this and still have received no response, not that it's that important at this late date. But it was disappointing for our first time using TGM and our first trip to WDW.

The least crowded parks calendars for the first AND last part of Oct. '08 are up at TGM now, thank goodness since I've got to make my ADRs very, very soon. I had used the 2007 info to extrapolate what would be recommended until Disney posted EMH, then figured things out for myself, so I had a pretty good idea what to do, but I do feel better now that the actual calendars have been posted.:goodvibes
