Tour Guide Mike

It is SO worth it!!!!

We used TGM in October. We have gone before, and I already knew quite a bit. I loved using TGM. I loved all of his hints. He actually explains why he recommends doing things a certain way. That little bit of info helps should you get thrown off track. You'll have insider info to help you reorganize your day. The best days chart is fantastic!! I loved getting onto a practically empty bus and watching the lines for all of the other parks.

I feel a huge loss now that I'm past my 60 day mark and my membership has expired. I guess I'll have to plan another trip so I can get back in touch with my friends at TGM.

You won't regret trying it!! And I've heard that he's wonderful with his money back guarantee.

I have a TGM question. If I sign up can I access the information from more than one computer? (like the one at home and also my laptop or office computer) It would all be just me or hubby doing it, but we use 3 different computers on a regular basis thoughout the week.

yes.:thumbsup2

I, too, am a TGM follower. :worship: Used it for our very FIRST trip last Oct - my DH thought I was a genious (but I owe it all to Mike :goodvibes ). Already renewed for our next trip...

It was OK. I'd spend $20 on about any tour book just for the fun of perusing it. So its comparable. What the heck.

As a parent, I was a little disappointed in his tour plan choices. Of course he says add and subtract to suit yourselves, but still. There's the "we have big kids" plan and the "we have little kids" plan. But my kids were the age last summer that they are big enough for all the rides but still love fantasy land, and to do it all, I don't think you can really follow his plans for a big break in the day unless you can go 2 days to each park.

A few years ago I used "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" and found this to be an incredible resource for touring plans and getting through the parks very quickly (granted...we went in early Feb and it was just me and my wife). I'm considering another trip (this time with the kids...DS7, DD4) this August. What makes TGM better to use that what I would find in The Unofficial Guide?

Thanks,
Eric

I was wondering the same thing as pp.

And, do you really only have a 10-15 min. waiting in line even on the most crowded days? We are going the week before Easter and if that is true, I must get in on this!!! Are the plans hard to actually follow?

Thanks!

We were there the week before Christmas and found the touring plans to be easy to follow and very helpful. There were times that we encountered some very large crowds on several occasions, but we never waited long for anything (the longest was 15-20 minutes and that was a rarity - mostly 5-10 minutes and many things we walked on).

As others have said, my family thought I was a genius, and even my DH was sold on TGM (and he never plans anything ;) ).

I have a subscription to *****************, which is the site for "The Unofficial Guide...". Has anyone used both? Which is better? I was able to print touring plans, what days for which parks, restaurant recommendations, etc. from *****************. Wondering if TGM is similar.

edit - OK they bleeped out the site name. Hopefully someone will know what I am talking about.

I personally would use him for the dates that you are looking to travel but for us going in September it's so slow you don't need really any advise unless you are not good at planning. It took me about 2 months of planning for our last trip and it turned out awesome. No problems. We spent 2 and a half weeks there and never waited over 10 minutes for a ride or for a bus.
I disagree, we tend to go in September and we've seen some of the lines get crazy, and we've never been in them. :thumbsup2 The flipside to September being a typically low crowd time, is the fact that WDW will shut down fastpasses and they do things like the free dining offer which packs the place. I find his advice valuable even if just for the which park which day info.

Yes!

We love TGM and won't do another trip without him. The first time we used him DH thought I was crazy and wanted to know what I could possibly need to learn about WDW, but after breezing through Fantasyland and riding everything in such a short time, and it was all so enjoyable, he changed his tune from "why are you bothering with that?" to "What does TGM say to do next?" :rotfl:

So happy to hear that. Talked to DH last night and thought he would be skeptical, but he was all for it. I'm going to sign up with TGM today. I'm very excited to see what kind of info I will get from him. I figure we are paying thousands for the vacation, what's another $20?

you know what....I feel the same way....what is another $20.00. I'm going to try it out and see first hand how it can improve my trip.:thumbsup2
