I HATE or STRONGLY DISLIKE them! they are Extreamly rude.

i was Pushed by one and they kinda said Move in spanish! my arm got all cut up and was bleeding. my mother was Furious! luckly the cast members were so nice and one even said they need to learn manners!

Just a thought...............
the ONLY thing that will make this SAD situation change is

IF people took the time to Bombard Disney Management with emails and letters about the abominable situation.

Reality is such that the almighty dollar speaks, Disney does not want to lose families returning to the resorts/parks......

perhaps a request to curb the sheer size of the groups??

I'd rather see Disney close a park down (like they do for the high schoolers) then have to deal with disrespectful hoards of adolescents and adults alike.
Just awful, scary situation :scared1: that will (likely) eventually prove to be an accident waiting to happen...which DISNEY could control now with some proactive measures.

We were there from the 8-15th...we usually go in July, but this year there seemed like many more groups. And the chanting!! First time I heard that!
My dd (3 years old) and I were going into the Haunted Mansion. I saw this large group approaching- so we quickly got in line to walk up the sidewalk to the door. Somehow once we got inside- they all pushed and shoved into the room and were screaming so loud when the lights went out. Next thing we knew, we were at the end of the line through the door. It wasn't worth pushing ahead-they continued to be so loud throughout the ride! I know they were having fun...but the size of the group is the overwhelming part!:scared1:

In my opionion I think alot of the posters on this subject are making a big deal over nothing, exagertating or being narrow-minded. Yeah sure some of these groups are big but if they werent standing or walking in the same place you were at the time somebody else would be. So what they dont speak english. This is Disney WORLD. Its a place for everyone from any country to visit. So what the are loud. They are teenagers excited about being at the happiest place on earth. So what there 50 of them in line to eat. They have every right to vist the same restaurant as you do. If someone else is ordering for them and it takes more time then so be it. The same goes if they have one person getting their fast passes. I have seen many large familes not in the tour groups have one person get the fastpasses for everyone. If you hire a Disney CM guide they will get your fastpasses for you so ther is no difference.

I was there during the the first week of July and saw many of the groups and never witnessed one problem with them unless having fun is a problem. In fact most of the groups just walked around and didnt do much riding of the rides. In seven days I only witnessed one group actually in a ride line and that was soarin. I heard about one minute of chanting which didnt seem to bother anyone. In the same week there some kind of dance competition at I believe was Coronodo Springs and if anyone was loud it was these group of girls who happened to be mostly all American. The only actually bad part about them being loud was that when they came in from the parks about 1100pm in their private buses they were chanting, cheering and well just being girls. Maybe some of the posters confused the Brazlian tour groups with the dancing girls.

I know everyone has there own story to tell rather it be knocked over or somebody cut in front of them. I sure some of these stories are true but its not only the Brazlian tour groups thats doing it. Im sure if anyone thats ever been bumped or butted in line was to make a post we would have far many more posts about people who are not in those tour groups.

While in line in the standby line for Test Track for an hour and a half there was a Brazlian girl about 15 and her brother about 10. Though not with the tour group I feel its important to tell you how they made a first impression with me. The girl was getting some gum out of her pocket book and my dd6 was staring at her much like a hungry kid would stare at someone eating. The girl saw my daughter staring and asked her if she would like a piece. Of course my daughter said yes and the girl asked me if it was ok. Since we were in line so long both my daughters talked with her for the whole time. She was very nice and polite along with her little brother. Both spoke perfect English. I was very impressed with how well they spoke English since I lived in Germany for 8 years, married a German woman and still cant speak German.

To sum up everything I think we should all be more opened minded and realize that not everyone has the same customs as we do. If you get the chance to talk to someone from Brazil or any other country for that matter jump at the chance and they might change your feelings toward them. For the poster that stated an adult turned around and spit in the face of a Brazilian child. That is rude and would be grounds to get kicked off property in my opionion. Nothing give you the right the spit in the face of a child no matter what you think they did to you. Adults handle things differently than that.

Flame away :cheer2:

sigh. :sad2: this is why i'm glad i'm in my 20's now. it's tough being a fairly well-behaved teenager (in public, anyhow :snooty: ) and being looked down on because others in your peer group have NO IDEA how to act.

and about the chanting...don't ever attend a public event in Boston. No matter what it is, "YANKEES SUCK" is guaranteed to start within a 1/2 hour. Not that it's not true, it's just aggravating in the middle of a rock concert.

I have never seen the tour groups in the extra morning hour at any park. I assumed that they must stay off property. Given how rowdy they are in the parks, I could never imagine that Disney would allow such "guests" to stay on property. I guess I have been wrong about this because I saw plenty of groups lining up to get into the early parks every day this summer. I'm not sure where they stay on property, !

something I never thought about, hmmm we have the threads about the cheeleaders & football players taking over the budget resorts, but I never read anything about where these massive groups of brazillians stay!

but that said, hey you really thing disney cares? they spend their $$$$$ that is all Disney cares about, otherwise they WOULD do something about a tour group, like put mandatory limits on the size & make them add more tuor guides to each group.

($$$$$$$ yup thats all wdw cares about now, just look how they are obliterating pleasure island, not caring about uniqueness & love the fans have for the place)

Making a big deal? How about when the leader go to the fastpass machine with 200 tickets to get thei FP and but the time you get there at 10AM there is no more fast passes or the return time is 10PM?
Or what about when they are all seated first for the shows.
Or waiting for 2 hours at the character spot.

We saw about 5 different groups of at least 50 people every day in every park for 2 weeks.

They're also rude, loud and annoying. Yes, Disney is a place to have fun and also to respect others, we are also paying lots of money to be there. I have no problem with crowds and people having a good time but have some respect.

For the most part, I'm not seeing why you guys are as worked up about this as you are. Groups of teenaged kids are enjoying WDW. They are acting like groups of kids act. I'm over it.

Sometimes, people make personal decisions to get worked up over things that don't really matter. We see that an awful lot in these forums. I refuse to spend my vacations getting bent over silly things.

I was told that they all go from the second week of July to the end.
And I know they're kids having fun, but since when you have to be rude and disrespectful to have fun?

If they were in smaller groups, the same thing would happen. They would still be in front of you in line and the fast passes would still be gone. Heck, the smaller the groups are, the worse the congestion problem in the fast pass distribution area would be.
Or what about when they are all seated first for the shows.
How is that different than any family or group who arrives before you do?
Or waiting for 2 hours at the character spot.
Again, if you arrive at a character spot after a group of people, you have to wait. What difference does it make if that group is from Ohio or Brazil?

I've been to WDW many times when these and other groups have been there. I've never experienced anything that couldn't be explained as normal kids behaving like kids. Personally, I expect kids to act like kids while at WDW. Heck, I expect adults to act like kids while at WDW.

I couldn't agree more. I hate to make my first posts on the boards in this thread, but this is so relevant to me right now that I have to. My family just got back from WDW. I'm a teacher and I've been supporting my putting my wife through Nursing school as well as my 10 yr. old son. As many of you well know, teachers' salaries are meager at best. We saved literally since last July for the trip we took this July and it was really tainted by these obnoxious Brazilian tour groups. I say Brazilian because that's where they were from. I didn't see one group from anywhere else.

We were at WDW for 10 days/ 10 nights from July 7 - 17th and I can honestly say I've never seen more Braz. tour groups before than I saw on this past trip. Not only that, but they were mostly obnoxious everywhere we went. They were like hordes of locust from which there was no escape. You'd leave the "orange flag people" in Main Street USA only to encounter the "green flag people" in Frontierland. They were all over Downtown Disney as well as Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Suffice it to say that this past trip to WDW pretty much was the nail in the coffin for me and taking my family to Disney in the summer. Sad, because that was a family vacation we all looked forward to.

I almost witnessed a fight break out around me at the Fastpass kiosk at Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom when some tour group leaders got in control of three of the kiosks. There are only something like seven kiosks for the ride and of the seven, three were being manipulated by these "flag people". When people behind them realized that the people at the front were hitting the kiosks up for like 100 tickets a person and the queue time for the ride started moving, things got edgy. The flag people pretended not to hear the complaints from behind and ignored people as others asked to just "interrupt" their barrage on the machine to simply get the three passes they needed for their family. That was unpleasant! However, imagine how much fun it was later to return to the Fastpass line only to find it clogged like a standby line filled with - you guessed it - the lovely kids from the tour group! Yeah! Woo-hoo!! Let's wait 40 mins. in the Fastpass line because. . . oh!

This was also the first summer that I remember the extra magic hours in the morning being ruined by these groups. Up until this summer, I have never seen the tour groups in the extra morning hour at any park. I assumed that they must stay off property. Given how rowdy they are in the parks, I could never imagine that Disney would allow such "guests" to stay on property. I guess I have been wrong about this because I saw plenty of groups lining up to get into the early parks every day this summer. I'm not sure where they stay on property, but I certainly feel sorry for the other guests and families who have to endure what they must be like in food courts and pools.

These groups have pretty much ruined it for me. On our last night there, we went to see Wishes in the MK and I saw a nice family of four who were wearing "My 1st Trip to Disney!" buttons on their shirts just get pushed out of a viewing spot on Main Street USA by a tour group. I thought to myself how sad that this was what they would take away from WDW as their "first trip" experience. One of the rowdy girls grabbed a lighted baton from a CM and started waving it around while the CM was politely trying to get it back from her. All the brat did was laugh and pass the baton on down the line further and further away from the CM. It made me furious! We located ourselves away from that group and watched the fireworks as best we could from near the bridge to Adventureland.

One thing I will mention is that not every tour group behaved this way, but in general, when you've got fifty plus people moving en masse in a theme park it's going to be irritating to people. The sheer number of groups that are there in July and how those groups affect things like the Fastpass return times is enough to contend with. Add to the mix, several misbehaving people in some of those groups and you've gone from bad to worse. Yes, the CMs are aware of the situation and yes they, for the most part, are not amused with the antics of the misbehaving ones. I also don't think anybody enjoys being treated like a plebe by these people either. However, something most definitely hard-line needs to happen with these groups in the future. WDW needs to pull back on the reigns and get control over these people because most everybody in the parks feels the chaos that surrounds these people goes pretty much unchecked.

So what are the best months to travel to miss these people? December? If so, when in the month?

Sorry for the rant! I do feel better though! I'd been saving that for ten days as I promised myself that I was not going to growl and grumble through the whole vacation over something that I couldn't do anything about!

THANK YOU! I do agree with you.
They were staying at the value resorts.

We also just returned from a week at WDW and I have to agree with the previous posters. We tried to watch Wishes on Friday night but it was d**n near impossible to hear the music over the groups. We were waiting in the stand-by line for SM,it was a 40 min wait when we got in line ,but just as we got to the barn here comes 40+ through the fastpass line. Needless to say it backed us up another 10-15 minutes.

But I did see something funny. It seems 2 teen age boys were wearing shirts they had made. It said "We Love Brazilian Girls." Now thats what I call making lemonade out of lemons:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have read through this thread but might have missed it, WHEN in January are the tour groups there? Thanks!

:rotfl2: My little bro would love that shirt

but i have to agree with the fast pass
they mess up the system....they dont abide by the time stamp and all show up together....so even if you do manage to score a fastpass...you end up waiting an hour due to not following the rules...

and I do realize disney doesnt care if the time is passed...but with this many people showing up all at once you'd think disney would talk to the tour leaders about the issue or at least hold some of them back to make the system work for the poor folks following the rules
