Has anyone come up with a list of the tough reservations to get per resort at the 11-month and 7-month windows? I see that a lot of folks refer to tough dates and/or villas to obtain, but it always seems to be assumed that everyone knows when those dates and which those villas are. But I sure don't know! :)

Here's my .02

Everywhere: All of December, especially the week before Christmas to NYD
Easter Week, Thanksgiving Week

BWV/BCV - Epcot Food and Wine (October-1st of November)

VWL - Thanksgiving-NYD

HHI - 2nd week of June - August

VB - Spring Break (March-April)

BWV Grand Villa
BWV standard view
BWV BW view
BCV dedicated two bedroom with two queen beds
VWL at winter holidays
OKW Grand Villa
AKV Concierge
VB Beach Cottage

How about a Vero beach cottage in the summer months? We want to try it but wondered how hard at 7 mo.

AKV Concierge

AKV is going to have so many types of rooms with Jambo and Kidani, that it will be interesting to see what happens with availibility and demand. I think Kidani will have some dedicated 2 bedrooms and those may be in high demand - especially since they sleep more guests. I'd expect the kidani 1 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and room for 5 to be very "hot" come 7 months. No other one bedroom at Disney gives you that option and there are lots and lots of families of five. The 2-story SV grand villas will probably go like hotcakes too - don't they sleep more people? I also think value rooms are going to be really a hot reservation - especially during more expensive seasons.

Note that for every one of these scenarios SOMEONE will say "I got a XXX during XXX with only three months notice."

The Epcot area is hard from October through mid January - with SVs at BW and 2Q2Br at BCVs probably going first - and preferred view one bedrooms at Boardwalk booking last.

VWL seems to be busy around the holidays, but is also a popular choice when the Halloween party is going on.

Hilton Head is also supposed to be difficult in summer months.

Wow, what great responses!

I'm surprised that no one has said BCV and BWV are difficult to get during the flower and garden festival. I guess that isn't anywhere near as popular an event as the food and wine festival?

Nope!

We got in BCV for the flower and garden festival at the 7 month mark with no problem - and that was for 2 studios this year.

You have to imagine that most people like to eat and drink. Not as many like to look at pretty flowers :-P

 Good point!

Add HHI for Thanksgiving-many people know the enjoyment of staying there then. It's always full, and it's virtually impossible to get a reservation at the 7 month window.
