Tough criteria...does it exist. Renting points is an option

I have been researching taking my family to Disney in 2013 . It will be myself, husband, 5 year old and three year old twins and my parents.

I love the Bay Lake Tower and I'm researching how to rent points...

I would have booked the room at the GF but, no MK view! That's important to us with the kiddos.

TIA-

Looks like BLT is your only option. If you decide to rent points, be aware that the days you plan to visit are some of the hardest to book for DVC members. Members love to go this time of year. You will definitely need to have a member book at EXACTLY 11 months from your arrival date (that is the soonest DVC members can book a room). That means you will need to start the rental process a few weeks before the 11 month window opens for booking your dates. Good luck!

What is your noise complaint about CR? Just worried you'd have the same thing at BLT although that is they only other resort that meets your criteria.

The MK view IMO isn't all that it's cracked up to be. It's not like you are close to the castle, is off in the distance. You do have a good view of the parking lot, monorail, and the roof of Space Mountain.

My thoughts exactly!!

Wow I don't think I've ever seen anyone post that about the MK view, but I wholeheartedly agree. When I stayed last May I was surprised that I had actually not seen any posts about it being mostly a parking lot view before. That being said, we did still love all the activity out the window. The monorail, the boats and lake, the MK in the distance-it all had a bustling big city feel to it that we liked a lot. But I can totally see how the lake view must be more peaceful. Just depends what you like. It was a lot of fun for us, but I was surprised there haven't been a lot of comments on just how much the MK view is really more like parking lot view.

We had a LV room that had all the views that people say the MKV ones do. I guess we were just lucky. The best view was from the balcony looking left but it certanly was nice to save the points.

Granted, we got a 12 floor theme park view...and we were in 8230, which is the last TP view, more facing the contemporary, but we LOVED it.... 2 bedroom, DGDs loved the pool, we loved the TOTW, and middle DD would buy there in an instant, if she had Disney loving DH...so, we will try for a GV in May 2014 for a few nights, before we switch over to OKW GV  staying one night in a studio in Oct...hoping we don't get 3 or 4 floor (which will be standard view next year). Only 20 studios TPV...so time will tell.
