We are staying offsite and one day we want to sleep in a bit and head to Epcots WS around 11:00 when it opens. Where can we have breakfast that morning? Please keep in mind we are driving.

I am looking for something close to Epcot (naturally), or maybe a nearby resort? Any ideas? Maybe something offsite (oh my I hope that's not taboo) :goodvibes .

Thanks!

We love the Cape May Cafe character breakfast at the Beach Club (just a short walk to Epcot)....if you're looking for something lighter, the Boardwalk Bakery might be a good option, also walking distance to Epcot. You can park at the resort if you're eating there but you won't be able to keep your car there all day while visiting Epcot. Good luck!

Spoodles on the Boardwalk serves a great breakfast and you can either walk or take the boat to the International Gateway.

I agree with both previous posters. Cape May is great if you are looking for a character breakfast. Spoodles is a nice quiet place with great food. For more options go to allearsnet.com and check on dining in the Epcot resorts....Boardwalk, Beach club, Yacht club, Swan and Dolphin. The Epcot resort area is only a 5-7 minute walk from the International Gateway of Epcot. As someone noted you can also take the boat but it is slower.

It's not exactly right in the EPCOT area, but IS on one of the main roads and not real far. Olivia's at Old Key West is very nice. It's not real busy and you can park right in front. Good service and excellent food. Probably allot more convenient than going to EPCOT, walking to the International Gateway and taking the boat to the Boardwalk or Beach Club, (or walking).

Will you be having breakfast before 11:00 and then going to EPCOT or did you want to arrive at 11:00 and then have breakfast? I think most sit downs stop serving by 11:00. You could always just "snack" for breakfast at the bakerys in France and Norway.

This may not be in the area you're looking for but I loved the Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe at the Poly. Next trip I will go out of my way to repeat the experience. :flower:

The banana-stuffed french toast at Boatwright's (POR) is nearly identical to Tonga Toast and MUCH closer to Epcot. I'd bet it would be pretty quiet there after 9:30 or so.
Have a great trip!

That's good to know. I also liked the Pressed Pot Coffee. We just had a good day of it. Afterwards we got on the monorail and visited the GF and the Contemporary and ended with MK just in time for the parade. :)

If you are off site and do not care if it is a character meal, I would eat off site! Golden Correll has a wonderful buffett and the price is so much lower. We however never stay or go off site so I am not sure where the one in orlando is located!
