Touching....Especially for TEACHERS but anyone can look!!!!

Beautiful. I just forwarded this to my MIL who is a teacher, and mother of course.

My niece is a 3rd grade teacher and my godchild is a "behavior management specialist for primary grade school students in an inner city. I think that they will appreciate this.

This is a wonderful site. I hope people on the DISabilities forum will see it too! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I've seen this one before; however, I can't agree with the theme. We're supposed to be teaching our children to become well-rounded citizens capable of critical thinking and ready to face the world, not specialists in the one or two things that come easily to them.

To use myself as an example, I have always despised math, but I'm very glad that my 2nd grade teacher (and my mother) forced me to memorize the multiplication tables. I'll never choose a math-oriented career, but those skills are pretty important in everyday life.

That was absolutely wonderful and inspirational.

MrsPete, I do agree with you to a certain extent. I teach and was thinking about the children I had last year while I was watching it. What I felt it was saying was that we all have certain things that we are good at. We shouldn't squash what someone is good at to try to make them the best at everything. We can teach them everything and encourage them at everything but make sure you bring out the best in them too.

I will be sending this on to my fellow teachers as well.
