Totally OT: Buttons

HI all!

I am wondering if you could give me some advice..... <ahem, insert snarky comment here>

I am running a promotion at my school with the kids on using big numbers. It is our goal to read a million pages and we are collecting a million sewing buttons. The kids have read almost 600,000 pages so far but the buttons are not so popular,. We have just over 36,000 buttons in the custom case.

Any ideas on where I can get large numbers of buttons for our kids to count and place in the button box??

Contact local dry cleaners... You dont need buttons that can be sewn onto anything, and drycleaners have buttons fall/break off of cloths all day long.

I have seen bags of buttons at craft stores like AC Moore- try the scrapbook section. I also found this website for you:

You might try EBAY, too.
