I'm going to be in FL 9/28-10/5 and was wondering about HHN.

Could some of you please give me some idea of what to expect--tips, etc. Is it something I can do in an evening, or is it an all day thing?

Could I do WWHP and HHN on the same day or would that be too much? Is HHN worth the cost? Thanks so much for your help!:goodvibes

You are WAAAAAY early for HHN but no sense in waiting to the last minute right?

HHN is only in the evenings at the Studios so you could do WWoHP and HHN in the same day. HHN is definately worth the cost...at least to me and several others on the board. :thumbsup2

You will see lots of threads about HHN popping up over the summer once more details are made available.

The best tip I can give you right now is to take advantage of Stay & Scream which is early entry for HHN but you have to be in the park before it closes. With S & S, you would be able to get early access into the houses which will make a huge difference in wait times. There is no additional charge if you are already in the park before closing. Otherwise...you would have to wait outside the main gates to enter with the masses of people which can take a long time.

Just in case you were wondering...there are no discounts on Express passes for HHN and staying onsite does not give you any special perks for HHN. The unlimited Express access you receive for staying onsite is only good during regular park hours and does not cover HHN.

Much, much will be coming in the following months so just keep your eyes on the boards.

I am really excited, having only done US once (and never IOA). :lmao:--you're right about my being early, but I just booked my October WDW, so of course was curious about the other goings on!

Thanks again for the S&S tip! I might book an extra night at US at the end of my trip! See ya on the boards!:goodvibes

Tips:
-Take advantage of Stay & Scream. It's very possible to get 4-5 houses seen in less than 2hrs.
-If you can, avoid going on Fri/Sat/Sun. Those are the busiest days of the week. Also, go earlier in the month if you can. Later in Oct = bigger crowds.
-Scream, duck, cower, laugh, and have fun.

Things to Expect:
-Long Lines. This is especially true for the house in the Jaws queue, as well as the main/icon houses.
-Lots of alcohol. It's everywhere. Have a drink or three, but don't get demolished.
-Scary people will get in your face & space. But they won't touch you. Don't touch them either, or you'll have to explain your actions to Mr. Security Guard and Mr. Orlando Police.

HHN is fun and my fave event of the year. I can't wait for this year's; it's going to be HUGE.

We went nearer the end of October on a Wednesday last year and it was super super busy - especially compared to the low crowds I'm used to in October months during the day!

My tip would be once all the details come out to have an idea what houses there are - and what houses are your 'must do's' - maybe pick 3 houses or something, and get them done, then anything else you do is a bonus, means you don't expect to see everything/get dissapointed - we didnt get every house or show or scare zone done last year, but what we did do was amazing and we still got the full experience :goodvibes

oh and like PP said - be prepared to duck/scream etc :rotfl:
