I just ran the budget for our upcoming trip.:scared1:

$960 DDP for 10 days 2a 1c
$250 Tip for TS meal for 10 days
$40 Tip for ME and luggage service
$70 Parking at airport
$100 Fuel and snacks to/from airport
$210 DS annual pass
_______
$1630

I am sure we could do better buy OOP but DH likes the DDP and I like not having to look at the cost and order less than what I want.

Disney is expensive no matter how you figure it out. We used credits on SW for our airfare and staying at a DVC.

Since you are getting the dining plan, you would be staying on site, I believe....so you should not have to pay for parking:confused3.

I did not see you include a price for park tickets though.

...All in all, it does add up, but it's a special place!

Enjoy your trip!:flower3:

Your tipping seems high! :scared1:But maybe not...I never sat down and thought about it...eek! Leaving Thursday...only have the regular plan though so only tipping 5 times for TS...one is the CRT so that's included...and takes 2 credits so hopefully it won't be too bad!

Wow, you must be far from an airport - I guess I'm spoiled being between 15 - 30 miles of 3 major hubs. Here it costs $15 a day in long-term parking, which we pay, because even though the airport is only 20 minutes away, it's more expensive to hire a van to take us there and back.

If it's going to cost $170.00 for the airport, I'd look into getting a service to take you. It's bound to be cheaper! $40 for ME and Bell Services tips seems a little high. I don't think it'll cost that much.

$40 for bags sounds really high. If you plan on taking your bags on the ME, then figure $2-$5 per bag. Otherwise, delivery of your bags to your room is part of ME and you do not need to tip.

I alway tip the bellhops, even when using ME - I know the service is free, but bellhops are tipped positions - aren't they the ones who bring the luggage to the room?

Yes, 4 hours from the airport so about two tanks of fuel and snacks. Then the parking at $70. Sorry no service out here at all.

It seems to me that almost everyone needs a tip, it starts with checking the bags curbside to the ME driver to the luggage guy who delivers it to our room if we are there, then the guy to take the bags back to ME, the ME driver again. We are on SW so no resort check in of bags, then perhaps curbside again. I thought $40 was a bit low?

I did forget to add in DS annual pass into the cost but we have his GAD ticket to help out a bit.

We do plan for each trip and we all put into the savings account so we are not surprised or caught short.

Bottom line, Disney is expensive but worth it to us.

I wish we could go for under $2000, but with 5 kids that isn't going to happen. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
