Tortilla Jo's

does anyone know if they would take more than one birthday certificate at a dinner? We have seven people and 3 of us have birthdays within 5 weeks of our trip next month. Would be great if we could use all three at the same meal. Thanks for any info.

Generally it's one coupon per table per group. You will have to read them to be sure but I've been using birthday coupons for 2 weeks now and they all say one per group/table.

The first time I ate at Tortilla Jo's it wasn't that great...the second time we ordered the tableside guac and it was so good! The wait for dinner on weekends can be long - just be aware.

I've also ordered the following:

soft tacos - pork & chicken:

quesadillas:

Carnitas sopes:

In my opinion it is mediocre Mexican food that is not very spicy. Just order chips and guac and call it a meal! :lmao:

I think we will be getting on of these $30 off coupons as well Can you tell me if there are any restrictions? Like, must spend $50 or not valid on alcohol?

My email says " Not valid for carryout, delivery, private party or major holidays. Offer can not be combined with any other promotions, discounts or offers.Calculate gratuity on check amount before certificate is applied. Valid for food and beverage (alcohol excluded) on any evening after 5 p.m. Reservations must be made and the certificate must be mentioned at time of reservation."

As someone else just mentioned though, they were able to eat and use the coupon with reservation.

HTH !

Sorry to bump this post, but I was hoping to get more opinions on the little detail that says you have to mention the certificate when making your reservation.

I made reservations through Disney Dining but I'm not sure that it's something they'll know what to do with if I mention it to them. I was actually kind of surprised you could even make reservations through Disney because it's a place that is owned by another company.

If you mention it when you go to the restaurant that will be good enough. We mentioned it when we sat down and the waitress used it when she rang us up.

I had the chicken enchiladas and they were pretty good.

I'm Mexican descent, and am used to spicy Mexican food, so I would not consider this that type of restaurant. However, the food was tasty. I agree about the guacamole & chips - very good.

You just have to mention it to the person taking the reservation and they will make a note on it, this is sufficient.

And you can make reservations through Disney for any restaurant in the resort, except Rain Forest Cafe.

Well I already made my reservations and didn't realize that the certificate had fine print saying "must mention when making reservations." I wasn't sure if I should contact Disney Dining back just for that little detail.

We always eat at Tortilla Jo's once each trip. Like others have said, it's not spicy mexican, but still decent if you know what to expect. We like it enough to go back.... But reading a pp's experience, I may have to see if they can add some spice, I never thought of asking!

To add a question onto this thread.....I never knew about the Patina Group, if I sign up for the birthday coupon, how far in advance do you generally receive this? Our trip is Oct 10-14, and my birthday is Oct 26th. Would I have this in time to use during our trip???
Thanks!

You should have it in time, it usually arrives at the beginning of your Birthday month (unless you signup during your Birthday month, then it's usually the next day)
