Toronto-WDW-how much I spent in gas

We always fly down but we are thinking on going to HH in 2008 and would like to drive then. This thread was a great idea for anyone thinking of flying vs driving. We paid $522us through Buf. KAREN 518 we live in stoney creek.
That was your flight for how many people? If that's 4 people, that's amazing!I still prefer flying over driving, and renting a car, just because of the time factor. Even if it's a couple hundred dollars more to fly and rent a car, it's worth it to me. Stoney Creek? That's so close to me. I'm in Caledonia. :)

Thanks for posting this information on the cost of fuel. We are driving to WDW in February and I was wondering how much to budget for fuel.

Your cost for fuel will likely be lower than mine though, because when I went in July/August, gas was $1.06/litre, and now it's down to .79/litre! Hopefully, gas prices will stay low for when you leave. :thumbsup2

Just wondering for all of you who have driven, what extra emergency stuff did you bring??? We will be going down in January in a older vechicle ('97 Aerostar) and my husband is worried about breaking down etc.

A CAA membership, a cell phone, a credit card, and Dave Hunter's Along The I75. Walmart and CTC carry decent auto emergency kits, for your husband's piece of mind.

What to Pack...
• Jumper cables to restart engine
• Cat litter or sand for tire traction on snow and ice
• Shovel to scrape snow away from tires
• Ice scraper to clear windshield
• Warm clothes gloves, a hat, sturdy boots, warm jacket and even a change of clothes
• Blankets to keep warm inside the vehicle
• Flashlights and extra batteries for increased visibility
• First aid kit also pack necessary medications incase you are stuck on the road
• Food pack items containing protein such as nuts and energy bars, also canned fruit and a portable can opener are good additions
• Water bring enough for each person in your car and any pets
• AM/FM radio to listen to traffic reports and emergency messages

Also consider...
Bring a cell phone if you have one with a list of emergency numbers. Baby formula and diapers if you have a small child.
