I would suggest AoA simply because skyliner access, great theming, great pools, nice food court. Really feels like more of a moderate. I do love Coronado, but it is larger and if access to a bus stop is a problem, it is a large resort with an inner bus loop. I'm assuming the AoA is for Mermaid Rooms. Mermaid rooms are far out there, but easier to navigate than Coronado Springs, I feel. If it is all adults though, I would consider Coronado Springs because of the bars, the nicer rooms, but if you have children younger than I would say 13, definitely AoA.

How many people will be in the room?
All Star Music isn't too bad, we just stayed there in February. I wouldn't pay more for All Star Movies as all the rooms/resorts are the same.
If you are spending a lot of time at Epcot and HS then AoA is nice with the skyliner. Coronado will give you the largest rooms plus the pool is going to have a slide and there are hot tubs.

Will you have a car? Transportation options play a huge part in my resort decisions.

Have you priced Pop Century? It should be between the All Stars and AoA price-wise and still has the Skyliner which makes a big difference. You can also get a better located room for that price than what I am assuming is a LM room at AoA.
Yeah I would look at Pop preferred room too. Skyliner access and good room location would be worth the increase form AS Music.

I love AS Music and AS Movies, especially with your own car. Saving $125 between those 2, I’d go AS Music.

And that would save $100 to $300+ over the others. With a car that’s like free money to spend and enjoy at other resorts!

I'm not a big fan of queries about whether something is "worth" it. I think each individual can only answer whether it is "worth" it to them. Personally, I really love Coronado, so that would be my pick. I enjoy the theme, like the on site restaurants, and prefer the pool. So its an easy choice because I value those aspects and they have worth to me. But whether they do for you, nobody else can answer. Go with wherever will make you happiest!

If your inclination this trip is to save some money it might be a good trip to stay at an AS simply due to Sept weather being well, summer in FL. Lightening will take the skyliner down so idk how much of an advantage that really is in Sept. CSR is a pretty resort with bigger rooms than AS but bad weather will negatively impact being able to enjoy the outdoor part.

Will you be spending a lot of time at the pools, restaurants etc at the hotel? That would be a huge factor for me.

I don't think Movies is worth the extra price.
I don't like Music.
I think Sports is a good option, good footprint, brand new rooms.

I have always loved Coronado but again, unless you plan lots of pool time not sure it's worth the extra.

I think AoA is a great option, especially now with SkyLiner BUT what parks are you doing, how often would you use the SkyLiner?

Imo, Grand destino tower at CSR is worth the money. It is normally just a few $ more than preferred location and the rooms are great.

I have not stayed at any of the other resorts/rooms. But I have stayed at Riviera and the skyliner was down a good portion of our stay- it broke down on us for a while - long enough in fact for them to be handing out $25 Disney gift cards as we exited at the CBR stop.

Are you factoring the AP discount offer for September with the prices you posted?

My choice with my kids, they're teenage girls, would likely be AofA. They would enjoy the theming more and I know we all like the skyliner. However, if you won't be visiting any skyliner parks, it might be a moot point. There are more amenities and dining options at CSR, but the buses are typical disney buses so sometimes they may be great or other times you may wait/stand for a bit. Just really depends. I'd weigh out your priorities, parks you'll visit, will you be doing a resort day and what you think you all would enjoy most and go from there. For me, I'd only do an All Star resort for a really short trip where we wouldn't be in the room much other than to sleep/shower. The only All Star room I'd stay in for any length of time would be the family suites at Music.

But I have stayed at Riviera and the skyliner was down a good portion of our stay- it broke down on us for a while - long enough in fact for them to be handing out $25 Disney gift cards as we exited at the CBR stop.
This is my fear. When it works, it is great. When it does not work. . .

Resort choice is very personal. Everyone looks for/ needs/ wants something different from a resort. I hate pools and bars so those things aren't important to me, but to other's, they are very important. Maybe the questions to ask are how much space do you need? How much time will you spend in your room? Or at your resort in general? Do you spend a lot of time in a particular park? If you are torn about the money then don't spend it on the upgarde. Disney is expensive and you can use the money you save on something else.

I would choose AoA since Pop is unavailable. The Skyliner is that much of a game changer for us, plus we love riding it. We drive to Disney but never drive at Disney. We park the car for as long as we are there and let them get us from place to place.

I will never stay all stars again if I can help it. It’s too noisy for me. It also was small and cramped for our young family of 4+1 in a crib. (Long time ago) The only way I would stay is with little kids. I think they love the theming. I have stayed at Coronado and was lucky enough to be close to the pool and a bus stop. We enjoyed it and liked having a little bigger room. To me, it’s worth the upgrade but if you plan to be in the parks all day, it doesn’t really matter. We enjoy some resort time daily so that makes a difference.

It's really subjective and there are factors involved. What is the make up of your party? How many people/kids/adults? Do plan on just using the room for sleeping or are you planning on spending some time at the resort? You said you will have your own car, do you plan on driving to the parks or using Disney transportation? Can you afford to spend more or are you on a tight budget?

If you don't have more than say 2 adults and 2 littles, the AS would be o.k. The rooms are smaller but two littles would fit in one bed. The pools tend to be fun for the littles because of the theming. The value resorts can be noisier than the other resorts just because they do tend to stay booked up. They have stepped up their game though and the rooms, while smaller than the moderates, have been upgraded and are on par with the moderates.

I would not stay at AoA unless you need a suite. In my opinion it's just not worth the money and I'm not a huge fan of the sky liner so that is actually a reason I wouldn't stay there. Again, if you plan on driving it comes out of the equation any way.

I love CSR, actually have a stay there coming up in December on my AP discount. I am not staying in the Tower. I toyed with it but frankly, since it's the last bus stop to pick up I know I would end up walking over to the first bus stop and actually enjoy the other areas. I'm going with a preferred room, which I don't normally book but with the discount I figured why not, that way I know I'll either be in Casitas or Cabanas. For adults its a great resort. Kids enjoy the pool since it has a slide but that would only be if you have bigger kids. I would only choose it if you plan on spending some time at the resort though, I don't think it's worth the extra money if you are going to be in the parks most of the time. I tend to stay there because I love me a hot tub, which the values don't have and I love Three Bridges and just the over all atmosphere of the resort, but I am an adult with no kids and not on a budget.
