Considering trying to get V&A's Chefs Table for our 5th wedding anniversary in October, but I'm having trouble justifying the cost to myself. For what this one meal would cost we could eat at both CA Grill and Artist Point. I've eaten in the main restaurant twice and both times it was amazing, but DH and I swore if we went back it would be at the Chefs Table. So is it worth it for two hard core foodies, one of whom is an amateur chef? Of course this will all be moot if I can't secure the reservation.

We've done the Chef's Table 5 or 6 times. We think it's worth it!

My question is have you done CG and Artist's Point? In your experience are they worth it - to you - to do in place of Victoria & Albert's? Would you be happier eating there twice and giving up Victoria & Albert's entirely.

In my opinion there is no question. I would do Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table. (I have not done either of those two signatures I've just done Jiko and Narcoosee's, but I would rather do Victoria & Albert's chef's table instead of both of the restaurants I've been to.)

Now that's keeping in mind that we aren't (Ok we can't afford) doing Victoria & Albert's this trip. We are instead going to Jiko, and for us it's the finest dining experience that we can afford this time around.

However, if I had the choice to to Jiko's twice or Victoria & Albert's once - I'd do Victoria & Albert's every time. It's totally worth it!!

Thanks for those thoughts. The two times I've eaten there it's been worth every penny. I've been to CA Grill before but not AP, and DH hasn't tried either. I think my best bet is to try for the ADR at Chefs Table and if I get it we'll go.

My late wife was a gourmet cook. The first time we did CT she said it was the best cooking lesson she had ever had.

The Chef's Table is an incredible experience - if you can get it I say you should go. It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for us last year and we still talk about it. :thumbsup2

I haven't done the Chef's table, but have eaten in the main dining room a couple of times. Do you have DDE? That saved us quite a bit of money in the dining room. However, they don't accept it for the Chef's Table. To be honest, I think you could almost get away with 4 meals (DDE) at signature restaurants compared to what it would cost you for chef's table w/wine pairings/tax/tip. For me, that's something to think long and hard about, especially if you haven't been to some of wdw's signature restaurants.
