Tori Spelling, Why is she still "famous"?

I agree-I like her. Sure she's not the most beautiful star, but she's cute and knows how to make what she's got work. I read her book and she hasn't had an easy life emotionally. Her Mom is a real piece of work. I'm not quite sure why she's in all the tabloids, but maybe that's just her publicist like someone else said?

Oh please; we are talking about an actress that has her face on every other magazine. There are a lot of actors who aren't attractive. Tommy Lee Jones, Billy Bob Thornton, Mickey Rourke. Actually, being called a "horse" would be a step up from what I have been called by some who don't even know me but think they do.

Actually, I have never seen anything that she has been in. I might find that she is cute if I actually saw her act. My only exposure has been on the cover of supermarket magazines and it always surprises me that there is so much written about her.

Regarding her having a male face--I think she literally does because, to
me, she has her father's face. She just has had a lot of plastic surgery
on it so she does not look exactly like him now.

I never really got into her while she was on 90210; but so Notorious and Inn Love are really cute-she really is a normal girl-just doing the best she can for her kids and family.

I wouldn't say she's famous right now, but she's getting a lot of press for her comeback on the new 90210. She has a huge fan base & everyone wanted her back on the new show.

When she was on 90210 I also thought of her as a spoiled kid who got there because of daddy. I knew nothing about her. Then I started watching her hilarious spoof on herself, So NoTORIous, then her 3 or 4 seasons on Tori & Dean on Oxygen. Then I read her book. I have a new respect for her after all of that. She's actually been doing her job working steadily for many years, she has a great family & loves her husband & kids to death. She was very down-to-earth (surprisingly!) on the Tori & Dean series. I couldn't see Paris Hilton doing any of the mundane household chores that Tori did on that show. Cooking, cleaning up after guests (they ran a B&B), unclogging toilets, living in a *gasp* camper out back of the B&B. She seems very nurturing as well. As for getting into TV because of her dad - true he did put her on his early shows like Love Boat & Fantasy Island - but he wouldn't allow her to audition for 90210 - she went using an alias when he wasn't in casting & got the part on her own. Yes I agree she has a ditzy dumb blonde quality to her - but from what I see it's not a rich, spoiled, entitled one like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, etc. She just truly seems naive!

She has great hoo-ha's, admits to being "adventurous" in the boudoir and I'd have to give Bea Arthur the edge on being lest attractive.

I have often thought this too and just brought it up today when I was discussing with my husband that I saw Ray Romano's daughter on a show the other day and how she is not all that attractive but that her dad could buy her a show just like Tori Spelling. Gosh what must she have looked like BEFORE the plastic surgery? I also feel the same way about Paris Hilton but she is a little more attractive than Spelling .

As someone said in earlier in the thread, she must have a good publicist....and she is an actress. Tori and Dean is a TV show and she is playing a part. As to her getting the part on her own...like no one in Hollywood knew who she was when she auditioned. I don't buy it.
