Has anyone tried Topsider's for dinner on the Magic?
How should we dress, are shorts too casual?
Does anyone have menus or remember what the food was like?

*Naked* would be too casual for Topsiders. ;)

Clean clothes work there, shorts are fine. They do make it a nice place to dine in the evening, but never stuffy.

We would go there after dinner to have another dessert...

Thanks for the info, Info.:jester:

Our whole family is going June 1st. My mother-in-law has severe arthritis. It takes her a long time to get dressed. She was hopping to be able to wear whatever she had been wearing the rest of the day.

Do you recall any of the menu items?

Honestly, we ate in the dining rooms most of the time, so I don't know what they would serve. We would go into Topsiders for an extra dessert after dinner, and dinner was wrapping up.

I would TRY to goto your regular seating, especially if it is an earlier one. M-I-L generaly dress well for a cruise. I wouldn't want you miss the dining rooms. Formal night(s) might be a time to skip, and try and book in Palo for brunch.

These are the times when casual (or resort wear) will be fine.

I understand the arthritis thing, my Father died of arthritis (and complications) at 50. I had to change his clothes for a long time, and it wasn't fun for him.

Download the Magical Disney Cruise Guide (there is a link in my signature). It answers a lot of questions you might have.

Have fun.

If I recall correctly, topsiders has a served buffet for dinner (you look at the line and choose what you want and they bring it too you). We never did the dinner there, so I can't say what was offered.

If your MIL is wearing a sundress or something similar, she would also be fine at any of the "sit down" places with the possible exception of formal night and/or lumiers.

Also, you have room service as an option.

I know this is un related but I was wondering if you took advantage of the handicaped rooms for your mother-in-law the rooms are much bigger which is a plus, but the shower, the sink, and every thing is much easyier for someone with arthritis, I was able to book one because of my arthritis even though I dont use a wheelchair.

When we ate there last September they did not offer a buffet, it was sit down with table service. We had went HOPING it was a buffet.

I don't have the menu, and we are vegetarians, so I can't help you with the menu selections.

We went because we wanted to see a movie that night, or something like that and our regular dining time didn't work.
