A girlfriend of mine is telling me that a part of Castaway Cay is topless, that someone she knows went on a Disney Cruise. I told her I have yet to Cruise with Disney but, I had never ever heard of this.

So what is the truth, I know the Dis will know.

Thanks :goodvibes

SURE ... MEN CAN ....:rotfl2:... but no they do not have a toppless beach they also do have the adult only beach but still not a topplesss beach

I don't believe that topless is allowed on Castaway Cay. However, there are topless optional beaches available in some of the ports, espeically on the Eastern Caribbean.

yeap, that is right! even if some of these "guys" shouldn't not go topless :rotfl2:

I was going to say the same thing. And I believe that I'm one of those guys who shouldn't go topless. :rotfl: My wife keeps telling me otherwise, but I'm just keepin' it real! :lmao:

I told my DH "you know they make really nice swim shirts now!" You wont even have to put sun lotion on :rotfl2:

Let's be honest here - even on Orient Beach - some of those people should be in full-on cover! We went there on our last cruise and were slightly horrified....I just kept thinking, "Do they wash those chairs in between uses?" :confused3:scared1:

You mean somewhere besides the massage cabanas? No. Males may be topless on the adult beach (Serenity Bay).

As above, there are ports where the beach style is "swimsuit optional."

And did you ever notice that the people who exercise that option are usually the last people who should? :)

PluuuuuuEzzzzze....have your "girlfriend" register here....we'll "educate" her!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

With "friends" like that....well....you know the rest!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

This has to be THE MOST insane thing I've EVER read here on the Dis...and that's going quite aways!!!

:lmao::lmao:;):scared1::scared1::scared1:

I could not imagine this at a Disney venue. But like other posters, I have been to the French side of St. Maarten (Orient beach has a clothing optional section and a nudist colony). My wife and I thought it was amusing to see totally naked people at a bar, with the bar tender female, just going about like she was working at some beach bar elsewhere in the Caribbean without a stitch of clothing on! I shed the bathing suit, and it was quite nice swimming naked, but my wife just didn't feel comfortable doing it. That is fine, to each their own. Of course, I would not do this anywhere in the US or Canada (though we have some nude beaches that are secluded up here). Topless should not be such a big deal, male or female. We saw that in Mexico (Europeans sunning themselves). I guess the Europeans don't have as many hangups as others might!

Regards,
Luvstocruise.

I like your handle! Mix of Disney and my favorite series, Star Trek.

Like the others, I have not seen anyone topless, and I am one of those men that shouldn't go topless (and I don't). :lmao:

Actually, this is a new rule. The previous answers you got obviously have not heard about the latest revision to the code. Section 12.4 of the DCL Castaway Cay Beach Attire Code, Revsion DD not states: "The Disney Cruise Line, being an equal opportunity company, now requires ALL beach goers on Castaway Cay's Serenity Bay to be topless."

Really....seriously...it's in the code.

In think in the name of democracy each ship should vote, and either everyone or no one (men or women) would go topless. Majority wins. Perhaps just one vote per cabin, by, oh, the tallest person in the cabin? That sounds fair enough.
