Top Three Bottom of the Pit Restraunts

1. Tony's Town Square - stinky rotten calamari, and even worse service. Out of six people, none of us liked our food.

2. Jiko's - horrible service, rude waiter. Not sure how the food tasted, the service soured it for us.

3. Chef Mickeys - just bad all around.

Now, I somewhat post this list with hesitation. My family and I do try things more then once. Not that I am glutton for punishment, but I may have caught the restaurant on a bad day. With this being said, here is my list:

1.) Whispering Canyon - had a terrible waiter, food was not so good

2.) Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner) - I can eat Stouffer's any day of the week for less $$, wait staff was not very attentive

3.) Hollywood & Vine - Just gross...sub-par service, cold food, nasty floors..if you're sticking to the floor when you walk, it's time to clean folks...just sayin'

1.PEPPER MARKET at CSR - horrible food, some of the worst CM interactions ever, and it is a very pricey place (I was so glad we were on free dining). It was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had anywhere.

2.Cosmic Ray's burgers - I'd rather have McD's. The buns were very stale and the atmosphere is very outdated. I've since decided I don't like WDW CS burgers much in general.

3.Kona dinner - This was very disappointing. It gets such rave reviews and we were really excited to try it. While I enjoyed what I ordered (not everyone in our group did), the atmosphere is so crammed and noisy. We are pretty tolerant, I like O'hana and WCC, but Kona is practically in the lobby so between all the traffic coming off the monorail and the huge crowd of people waiting for tables it was hard to have a conversation. We also had a really lousy server. I'd still try breakfast one day.

I echo what everyone says though about forming your own opinion. If the menu sounds great, you think you'll like theming and it fits your touring plan, go for it. I have only changed my ADRs a couple times based on reviews and in those cases I had mixed feelings from the get go (we dumped Kouzzina dinner for this reason last trip).

Chef Mickeys - breakfast was ok but the food at dinner wasn't very good at all.

Hollywood & Vine - In 21 nights we ate at 3 TS a day and this was by far the worst meal we had whilst at WDW, food wise.

Having trouble thinking of a third, we weren't really fond of Tony's, it wasn't a bad meal but just wasn't good if that makes sense :rotfl: We have been once and don't have a desire to rush back.

I do not understand WHY the ABC commissary is open. I have not heard ONE person like any of the food there. We went there our first trip and we were disgusted by the food. It is plain nasty. They should hire someone to stand outside and forewarn people to steer clear of their gross cuisine. Why they haven't been replaced by now is beyond my comprehension.

Another place I would not go back to anytime soon would be Chef Mickeys. The food there wasn't horrendous, I just am not cool with Mickey chillin and mocking me for paying for him and some seriously overpriced food.

And lastly, Cosmic Rays. One word: YUCK!

Boma- Boring, boring & more boring. I don't get it. :confused3

Captain Jack's- Possibly the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. :headache:

Mama Melrose- Horrible "Italian food", at least to an Italian NYer.

Since I posted first, I want to add my worst CS experience to the mix: Tomorrowland Noodle Station, or whatever name it's going by now. Our younger DD loves all Asian food, so you can imagine how excited she was when this was set to open. We had a visit planned right within it's opening week, we HAD to plan lunch there, even though we generally leave MK before lunch time. OMG, the food was inedible! Over $30 for stuff I wound up thowing away and buying burgers at Pecos Bills it was so bad!

Sci-Fi

Maya Grill

Hollywood and Vine

Unfortunately I have to agree with Maya Grill. We had the best server of our trip here, but three out of four entrees were totally inedible. Unfortunately the server agreed with our opinions, but didn't offer to replace/change our meals. Disappointing.

Believe it or not my daughter likes ABC commissary. Last time she ate there, I just got french fries, that ended up in the garbage.

Pecos Bills burger. I would be willing to try this again at some point, but that day was horrible and the fixens bar was basically empty. It was also VERY dirty.

1. Sci-Fi (Sorry, but the food there just isn't very good. It could be such a great place to eat too.....if only the food was better. Bummer.)

2. Rainforest Cafe (I'm sure we'll eat there again because our kids love the atmosphere, but the prices are RIDICULOUS for just so-so food.)

3. Coral Reef (Again, great atmosphere, but the food is hit or miss, and for the prices, there is no excuse for yucky food.)

Just my opinions, nothing worth anyone changing any ADRs for!

1) WCC - If you have kids and are going for the experience, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're going for the food, you can get the same quality at any CS.

2) Chef Mickey's - I'm not surprised to see so many people agree on this one. Again it's just like WCC, great for the experience, but don't go there expecting anything above mediocre food.

3) Mama Melrose's - I liked everything about it BUT the food.

Really i've never had any experience at any restaurants that involved cleanliness or poor service, only experiences with not so great food. I don't think Le Cellier really lives up to the huge hype. I think their food is definitely good, but since they took the maple bbq filet off the menu, I haven't had anything to make me want to return the past couple years.

I'll pipe in with a positive for ABC Commissary. I had the fish and chips and it was great. I was pleasantly surprised.

Inn at San Angel in Mexico, however, will not see me return

Ok the Chef Mickey's comments have me worried. That is going to be our first dinner for our trip. My BIL has horrible anxiety issues with crowed areas.

Interesting; my BIL is the same way. He can barely get through family get togethers. I'd never take him to a character meal anywhere, and especially not Chef Mickey's - totally chaotic!

1. Restaurant Marrakesh

Maybe it was a bad night but none of the five adults in our group was impressed with the food when we ate there.

Teppan Edo...our waiter was in training, he was sooo nervous and jittery it made us uncomfortable. He couldn't understand engilsh, or the menu, and was dripping sweat as he leaned over our food. Presentation was ok, but not worth the $$. The chefs at the other tables were energetic and were interacting with the guests, but that was very limited at our table. We would never return.

Wispering Canyon...we loved the atmosphere and the food in the past, but the last time we went the skillet food was really gross.

We have had just OK meals before at Coral Reef and Tutto Italia. We will probably still go back to Coral Reef because the kids really love it.

Boma- Boring, boring & more boring. I don't get it. :confused3

Captain Jack's- Possibly the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. :headache:

Mama Melrose- Horrible "Italian food", at least to an Italian NYer.

Wow, you are brave! Italian NYers here (well, part Italian), we're too nervous to even go to Tutto Italia at Epcot or Il Mulino at Swan/Dolphin (and both get good reviews)! Then again, Italian food is not different from what we eat at home, and we like to have some different foods on vacation. Very few Italian restaurants I will eat at on vacation!! Same with Chinese and Japanese restaurants...we eat that food all the time in Brooklyn, and I am even picky where we order from at home!

Funny thing is...I'm also German and Biergarten is a MUST (we love it there)! And I am picky with German food too!

There is only ONE place that I absolutely refuse to step foot in and that is:

ELECTRIC UMBRELLA - DH teases me about it on every trip because he is a very bland eater (burgers, hot dogs, etc.), so none of the WS places appeal to him and he is forever threatening to go to EU to eat. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! Dirty, louded, crowded...every word that would describe a place you would NOT want to eat! The weird thing is that the menu is pretty standard for a lot of CS restaurants at Disney and it doesn't bother me at most other places, only here!

We've been to Chef Mickey's twice - once for breakfast and once for dinner. I might do breakfast again, but would never do lunch or dinner again there. I don't think DH really ever wants to go there again though because any time I suggest it, he suggests somewhere else!

I guess I would also say Akershus breakfast - the princesses were nice, the atmosphere was pretty cool, but the food was just so-so. And the traditional Norwegian buffet thing (I don't know, it had some raw fish or something on it when were there) totally grossed me out at 8 in the morning. I might go back sometime, but there are a lot of other places I'd rather try first.

And we LOVE Ohana for breakfast - we do it every trip. :lovestruc We also like Pizza Planet and we enjoyed Sci-Fi the one time we ate there - food wasn't great (good, not great), but DD loved it and we're going back again.

1. Chef Mickey's- gross cold breakfast and napkin spinning food flying all over the place- not our kind of place.

2. Biergarten*really more of a sharing table issue with had with the family from hell but it's a never again for us after the lack of dealing with the "guests" by the management. (and they didn't offer to move us either)

3. Nine Dragons(the old one I have not been to the new one and don't intend on trying it either) We have great Chinese food here and really this place didn't even come close and dh got dreadfully sick immediately following- so another NEVER AGAIN!

We went for Dinner to 1900 Parke Fare & Chef Mickey's 2008 and we will not be back again. The reason: We did not like the meat choices for dinner. The selection was not big and about the same at both restaurants. Other than that the food was not bad just not what we like in meat selection.

We do not like disney pizza, like they serve at Pizza Planet and the resorts. It is not very good. I like the flat bread pizza's like at Wolfgang puck express at downtown disney but Disney does not have a good pizza per our family. So we miss pizza while we visit. I hear(hopefully not a rumor) they are putting a pizza place in Italy at Epcot in the future, I hope it is good and up to our standards :rotfl:

Sci-Fi - The food was not bad, it was ok. But I did not like eating in the dark. I want to see my food. You know, just to make sure there isn't anything in it! :thumbsup2 After eating here in 2006, poor DS got so sick here, he tossed his cookies all over the place. Not really sure if it was the place, but I do not think he would eat here again.

We ate at Boma 2008 dinner, and it was good but not the type of food my family likes. I enjoyed it but DH and DD went nuts and refuse to go back again.

We went to Hollywood and Vine for lunch 2009 and it was good and not dirty. We also had great service. Great barbeque meatballs and great choice in vegetables, fruit, and desserts. Also liked the meat selections fish, beef, chicken, lunch meats and cheeses.

Also we go to Le Cellier for Lunch. I like the sandwiches, DH & DS get a steak and enjoy it. We do not like the soup but we really like the pretzel bread and the chocolate mousse for dessert.

We have went to many more places others have spoke about but I will stop. I really think everyone should try places for themselves and then decide. I will never regret trying Chef Mickeys for dinner or 1900 parke fare.
