Thanks, Cynthia! I do feel like every time I turn around, the money is drying up. It has definitely been one thing after another. I think Tabasco is doing better -- the sores on his back seem to be drying up. Thank goodness. Hopefully, it won't entail any more procedures.

I know vacations end up in the "luxury" column, but for me, I feel like they should be in the necessity column. I need them to retain my sanity.


We have stayed at Pop before for a quick weekend trip and enjoyed it there! I just worry about the room size for our family of four. My daughter and all of her things takes up a lot of space.

Can you go later? Rates drop after 8/15 and if they do Free Dining it might work out better than the PIN code you have. Not sure. Just a thought.

I'd be concerned about the room size at POP too, fine for a night or two but it could be tough for more than that. Works perfect when the kids are smaller but....

I hear you on the money, it's been one thing after another here too and I just discovered a major blunder on my end that has me feeling ill. I agree that vacations are a necessity. We didn't take one last summer and are really feeling it. It made us VERY cranky!

That is just not fair with Charles' soccer. I'm so sorry to hear the news. Could you do 2 nights at CBR and the rest at POP? Or if you move your trip to value season you could rent DVC points at AKL for under a 100$ a night. Renting at OKW or Saratoga in July might even be cheaper then CBR. Maybe it is god telling you to take some time of to Disney. There are plenty of other fun vacation paces to go. Maybe you could go to Key West and if you drive you could stop at Disney for a few hours and just ride the monorail, have a meal, and maybe go to DTD? Disney is not going anywhere. Just think of a postpone.

We are finally moved. We are in Clermont, Florida. There are 25.4 miles from my door to that wonderful entrance sign welcoming us to WDW.

We haven't been able to get our AP's yet, so we are bummed- B/t Uncle Sam and the Powers that be saying, "wait", we haven't been able to swing it yet.

We joined a Disneyschooling homeschool group here, but only can do half of thier planned activities b/c half are in the parks and half are not. We are looking forward to getting those Florida resident AP's though. Someone blessed us with 1 day PH's and we joined the group to Disneyschoolers homeschool day in MK about a month ago. It was wonderful.

I read your update and sometimes it just isn't meant to be, but I sure hope it works out. If you recall, we had a trip kinda like that last year and we held on to the ressies and it did work out in the end............if only we KNEW we were moving here! We would've saved the money for AP's and such! owell, hindsight is 20/20, as they say.

Just wanted to say hello and let you know we are moved and somewhat settled after a crazy roller coaster ride of a 2009. Layoffs and getting a job and the possibility of Orlando or Houston-planning on Houston since Orlando originally was taken- and then re-opened. Then offered and taken. It was crazy.

Hi, Lori!!! It's so nice to hear from you! I can't believe how close to Disney you are now!!! That's just fabulous! Think how many discounts there are for Florida residents!!! It's very neat that there are so many homeschool outings geared around Disney. That would be so fun!

Just read your news and wanted to say that it is really unfair that they did that. I am also a teacher and things in our state budget are not good so we are getting a lot of cuts, too, so I totally understand how stressful it is. Just wanted to say I hope everything works out for you!

OOhh the beach would be nice. I didn't get to go to the beach this last February as it was too cold in south Florida.

I did get a pin number in the mail today. It was offering free CS dining until the middle of July. Unfortunatly I won't be needing it this year.

I made a $300 flight error. Fixed now but UGH. So much for my savings. Completely my fault. Moving too fast. I'd like to blame it on the Delta website and HS sports and my stupid dyslexia, but...it was my fault.

Worst part is....I've done this before. I am always terrified to book flights now as a result, especially when things get complicated but my TA was busy and things were going fast. Sigh.

I love the smell of the ocean! Can't wait to see what you decided.
