Fruit salad for lunch sounds perfect! I love farmers markets. My favorite one is the one in New Orleans near Cafe du Monde. NYC farmers markets are uhmmm a bit too urban.

I love that market in New Orleans! I came away with a lot of stuff from there.

Oh great planning stuff! Yay for Mickey waffles. You're going to have a nice balance of beach and Disney. I can't wait to read about all of the things you plan and your trip.

I can't wait for Mickey Waffles and salt air -- especially after the last couple of weeks.

Right now we are planning a Christmas 2011 trip -- not sure what we will do about the summer, though.

I really can't get over how much Chelsea has changed this past year. Connor has too but not as drastically I don't think.

It's a few miles south of the airport on I-75 in Forest Park -- very easy to get find.

Conner did get a great price on the pinata- they sell for around $30 in stores in PA and they look cheaper.

I can totally see that! One of my favorite stories to tell about Connor was when he borrowed his sister's doll's mini-van and loaded it up with his Batman figures. When I asked him why Batman needed a mini-van instead of the Batmobile, he told me there wasn't enough room to put the bad guys in the Batmobile.

I love Madame Alexander dolls & that one was a wonderful gift. Since I had 4 sons, I didn't get to buy dolls. I do have 2 GDs, but their mom discourages dolls. So I get dolls for myself.

I love Farmers Markets. We have very tiny small ones here that they set up in parking lots on certain days of the week. Nothing big like you went to. The fruit salad sounds great!!

Nice HH information. I gotta tell you - I REALLY want to go there. I almost went in Feb (crazy - I know), but there were some GREAT AP rates there and I was supposed to go to NC with Brian for a soccer tournament. I'm glad I never made the reservation because the whole tournament got snowed out.

Oh, I love the beach in any season! February does have great room rates! I'll go scope out the lay of the land for you this summer!

Man of Few Words Needs Assistance in Crafting Birthday Message for His Main Girl!

Now that summer is about to officially start for me (I have to work until tomorrow), I can begin planning our Hilton Head Island birthday vacation in earnest. I have lots of posts and updates planned for the eight weeks we have left until we leave.

First order of business is squaring away Bo’s birthday message to Chelsea. As some of you know, MeMom and Jill (with Poolrat’s assistance) helped Bo get all dressed up a couple of weeks ago for the occasion. Didn’t they do an awesome job?

Next, I want to take these pictures and create a birthday card for Chelsea that will reveal the trip. She knows we are “probably” going to Hilton Head for her birthday, but she doesn’t know it’s definite. I want Bo’s card to reveal that. I found the most perfect photo card on Shutterfly that is beach themed with balloons tied to a sand pail. The colors match perfectly.

I am drawing a creative blank, though, on how to phrase Bo’s message. Then, I had the brilliant idea to ask all of you super creative DISers for help! What should Bo write in his card? Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
