Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

Sounds like you had SUCH a good time at the market!!!! Love the Pinata....he haggled with his eyes Mom....I'm SO sure it really was like $10 whole dollars!!!! ;) So cute!

LOVE your Disney Mail! I am sure you have poured yourself all over it this weekend!!!

I love the doll, it really is a Charleston Princess! :goodvibes

And I don't know why but I can't get over the pink and blue pinata. It's too cute. :thumbsup2

Hi Jackie. So what's new. You are probably busy with year end. My son Cody wishes he lived down south. He does not get out until June 22nd up here. He has started the count down though.

Hey I started my first ever TR & would love to have you there. You are mentioned on my very first post. And the day I took a pic with Bo I thought of you!!:)

jackie:

Are you done school yet???? My kids are taking finals this week, so you must be done if we are that close. Can you believe its been almost a year since our AKL trip last summer. I feel a little sad that I don't have a summer trip planned. Even though I just went, and I said I would never go during summer again, I still love the excitment of planning a summer trip.

I was so thrilled to see that I was only 2 pages behind after being gone for a few weeks! :woohoo: You must be drowning in end-of-school year activites too. I am beginning to wonder if May is even busier than December! It's been crazy lately. I hope things will settle down in a few weeks. Then we can both get back to more important things, like dissing! ;)

Hi Jackie,

Are you all done with school? Chelsea and Connor must be thrilled.
We still have 5 LONG weeks left. And my class has a video to shoot. I hope it passes by VERY quickly.

The doll is beautiful. What a great Mother's Day gift.
I love Connor's haggling :rotfl:
The pinata is adorable. Is he going to fill it with candy?

Thanks! I don't think Connor will fill it candy because I can't see him beating it with a stick afterwards. LOL!

Fruit salad for lunch sounds perfect! I love farmers markets. My favorite one is the one in New Orleans near Cafe du Monde. NYC farmers markets are uhmmm a bit too urban.

I love that market in New Orleans! I came away with a lot of stuff from there.

Oh great planning stuff! Yay for Mickey waffles. You're going to have a nice balance of beach and Disney. I can't wait to read about all of the things you plan and your trip.

Are you planning a Disney trip for summer 2011?

I can't wait for Mickey Waffles and salt air -- especially after the last couple of weeks.

Right now we are planning a Christmas 2011 trip -- not sure what we will do about the summer, though.

I really can't get over how much Chelsea has changed this past year. Connor has too but not as drastically I don't think.

Chelsea really has changed this year -- it stuns me, too.

Too cute about the haggling over a Pinata. I think $8 is a good price for a pinata too. :rotfl2:

It sounded like a good bargain. LOL!

Mickey Waffles! That is very exciting!

I was very excited. I had planned on having breakfast in the villa most mornings, but I may need to change that around a bit knowing there are Mickey waffles at the resort.

The doll is precious! What a beautiful gift.

Thank you! I love it!

Did you fill the trailer on the semi?

We don't mess around when we buy fruit!

Sounds like a fun day. That Connor and his haggling is so funny! Chelsea is cracking me up with the posing and the sunglasses. Reminds me a lot of Katie.

Chelsea always has to "pose" when the camera comes out. :rotfl:

HEY!!!! I am here!!! How are you? I love that you are surprising Chelsea with a Disney trip! She is going to be thrilled. Looking forward to reading more! :)

Hi, Lynn! So glad you made it back to the DIS!

Oh, and I cannot believe how big the kids are getting. So cute.

Thank you! They are growing up way too fast.

Love the doll and her flapper dress!! What a sweet gift! :goodvibes

Thank you!

Connor and his haggling!! :rotfl2: I suppose he could have researched the going prices of pinatas before you went....;)

With Connor, there is no telling. ;)

Your picture of you walking towards your car had me :rotfl2: somehow I knew I would not be the only one laughing about the semi in the background...as I scrolled down I knew Shocker would comment :rotfl:

Tracy

I didn't even realize that until Shocker pointed it out. :lmao:

Love the "Charleston" doll made into a "Princess" ..... so thoughtful and perfect!
You should use it as your avatar pic.

Oh, good idea!

I never knew about that market when I used to visit my SIL.
We always went to an indoor one...:confused3

It looks like a neat place!

We had passed the sign for it every time we went down to Disney and figured it was about time we checked it out.

I think the pinata was a great deal! :thumbsup2

Me too, and Connor is still in love with it. :lmao:

I like Chelsea's cute purse. ;)

You would be amazed at the contents of that purse. It weighs a ton, and Chelsea has things in it like a can of hair spray!

Very nice of happydog to send you the brochures, now you can do some planning! :goodvibes

Funny you want the summer to go by slowly, I want it to go by fast....the sooner I CAN GET TO WDW! LOL

I can't wait to have a chance to really start planning.

I want my trip to get here, but since I have to go back to school about a week after we get back, I don't want it to come too fast.

The photo of the three from the back with Connor and his pinata is hysterical.

Connor lugging that pinata around made me laugh, too!

Ohh where did Chelsea get that purse? It is so cute! It's perfect for AK!
Looks like a fun day. Connor is too funny with his pinata.

I think she got it on a shopping trip with her grandfather.

She took it to Disney last year, but I would not let her carry it around the parks with her. She was not pleased with me.

What a fun day!!

I love open markets! YAY for such a great deal on the pinata! I believe Connor choose a good one!! Very very nice!!

We did have a good time!

Love the doll you received, simply stunning!!

Thanks! I really like her, too! :goodvibes

Once again loved the pictures, your kids are just awesome!!

They are a lot of fun to be around!

YAY for Disney Mail!! Always fun to get to help plan your trip!

Definitely! :thumbsup2

Love your brochures from Happy Dog... I would love to see those too. I think being a Disney resort you will be busy... and HH has great things to do too and yummo eats!

I will gladly send them your way after our trip, if you want me to, Laura! :goodvibes

That doll is so pretty. Your Mom does give really good gifts! The farmers market looked like fun. I love Chelsea's bag! I was cracking up over Connor's pinata! I love how he's got such a different outlook on things. :goodvibes

Connor definitely has a unique way of viewing the world! LOL!

Oh my gosh, just reading about Connor and the things he says cracks me up. I love the pictures with the pinata, especially the one in which it managed to sneak in with Connor and Chelsea :lmao:

I have to tell you, Meghan, that Connor has that pinata in his room now, and I still haven't gotten used to it when I walk into the room. I think it's a real dog every time.

That doll is so cute -- I love that your mom is so good at picking things out for you! She gave you the other pretty doll (whose name escapes me right now) as well, right?

Yes, she gave me the 1959 Sleeping Beauty doll for my birthday last year.

That Connor is quite the haggler!
I can only imagine what he thought those pinata's were going to cost him!:rotfl2:

The Farmer's Market looks like such a fun way to spend some time on Mother's Day!

I wonder what he thought they would cost. LOL!

We had a good time there except when Chelsea kept telling me she needed "this...and this...and this...and this."

I don't know if I have ever seen pictures of your mom, but I can sure see you in your dad. ::yes::

I don't think I have posted any pictures of my mom before. I should fix that, but she tends to do a lot of hiding from the camera. Hmmm...who does that sound like? :rolleyes1

I look a lot like her around the eyes.

Aren't kids just the most fun? It's so cute that Connor zoned in on that particular pinata.
And Chelsea with her posing...

Connor knew exactly which one he wanted -- which is out of the ordinary because usually it takes him HOURS to decide what to spend his money on...

Chelsea has never met a camera she didn't like.

I'm jealous of that fruit salad. Our Farmer's Market got messed up by the water. Some parts were able to open back up already, but not all.

That's too bad :(.

Thanks for sharing that little family event with us.

I love sharing our little "adventures."

What a cool Mother's Day gift!! Yay Mom!! And what a fun day at the Farmer's Market!! Love the pinata--too cute!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Becky! Connor was cracking us up with his pinata that was practically as big as he was!

Ok, I am learning so much about my own city here on your PTR! I've got to check out this farmer's market - it looks like a fun little day trip! And your story of Connor's haggling (or lack of) had me cracking up! Too funny!

Also, :banana::banana::banana: for Mickey waffles!

It's a few miles south of the airport on I-75 in Forest Park -- very easy to get find. :thumbsup2

Conner did get a great price on the pinata- they sell for around $30 in stores in PA and they look cheaper. :)

Oh, wow!

What did Chelsea buy?

An avocado, some bananas, and some Mexican soda.

I am so glad you received planning tools to help you get excited!

They are going to be very valuable as I start to plan in earnest!

I doubt Connor could have haggled this one down to $8.

pinata.jpg

Imagine the reaction I would have if I saw that out of the corner of my eye every time I walked into Connor's room!

I just saw your post about salt air and Mickey Waffles!!

AHHHHHHHHH, I should have worn that perfume to our dismeet. It smells just like the ocean mixed with flowers. I wear it when I think of the beach!

Hi CP! Since I see you on almost every other report that I'm subscribed to, I figured the only polite thing to do would be to come over to yours...so, here I am! Of course, I see that I am a little late to the party and have my work cut out for me if I want to catch up, so, I'd better get to work.

Welcome! So glad to have you here!!!

so happy to see your "mickey-mail" from Happydog...so sweet! and in your post you sound excited to be going...maybe you always have been but now it seems so

J~

I am starting to get pretty excited about the trip! I can't wait to be relaxing on the beach!

YAY for Mickey Mail!!! Oh. That was from me. I hope it gets you excited, I thought it might give you more ideas since the schedules will likely be similar, but of course I went in the off-season, so you KNOW there will be much more to do!!!

:rotfl: I so appreciate you sending me all of it! Since we are now just a month and three weeks away, I will have to start focusing on making some plans. All of those brochures will be invaluable! :thumbsup2

NOW, I love the farmer's market outing, LOVE that Connor didn't think it was "necessary" to haggle, since "for him" he got the price of $8.00... TOOOO funny! TOOOO cute! I don't do very well with that haggling either, but I have to agree $8.00 seems fair! ;)

I am not a haggler, either, so it surprised me that Connor was so determined to give it a shot.

Oh! I had missed there were Mickey Waffles on the menu -- SCORE!!! The outdoor eating area on the 2nd floor of the community building at Disney's HH, is a nice place, and I bet it would be a great spot for breakfast or lunch!

Can't wait!!!

Do you collect those dolls? Very pretty! That would last a day or less in my house... "But MOM, I wanted to see if she could play Clone Wars with my other action figures..." :rotfl: NOPE. Not a chance, so I like the pictures!!

:lmao: I can totally see that! One of my favorite stories to tell about Connor was when he borrowed his sister's doll's mini-van and loaded it up with his Batman figures. When I asked him why Batman needed a mini-van instead of the Batmobile, he told me there wasn't enough room to put the bad guys in the Batmobile. :rotfl:

Fun update! ONE WEEK OF SCHOOL for you?!??!! HOT DOG! WOOT WOOT! :yay:

And now just a little under two days of post-planning left. Thank goodness. Last week kicked my tail!

:lmao: That Connor cracks me up!!

He keeps us in stitches!

What a great gift you got from your mom! I love that she added the tiara, she obviously put a lot of thought into that :goodvibes

Thanks! My mom is all about details like that.

Conner is so funny! Your story had me cracking up

Sounds like a fun day :thumbsup2

We did have fun, and Connor came home with a new "friend." LOL!

Conner carrying that pinata around was a hoot. I just had to laugh at that. He reminds me of my third son, was a lot like Conner as a boy & he grew into a very smart wonderful man. Love that wild pink color, Conner sure is secure in himself. Gotta love that!

Fingers crossed that Connor grows into a wonderful man! :goodvibes

I love Madame Alexander dolls & that one was a wonderful gift. Since I had 4 sons, I didn't get to buy dolls. I do have 2 GDs, but their mom discourages dolls. So I get dolls for myself.

That's what my mom does! LOL!

What a nice gift from your Mom!! (and dad). Love the tiara.

I wish I had one in my size!

Connor is so cute with the haggling. Hey I think $8.00 is pretty good too!!

It sounded pretty reasonable to me, too!

I love Farmers Markets. We have very tiny small ones here that they set up in parking lots on certain days of the week. Nothing big like you went to. The fruit salad sounds great!!

Love the sleeping kitty:)

We have one like that in our town, but this big one was about an hour away.

Wow the farmer's market sounds really cool! Gotta love fresh fruit in the summer time :goodvibes

::yes::

Connor's pinata haggling skills, or lack thereof, story is very funny :rotfl: He made a good choice though!

He was very proud of that purchase.

Very cool that happydog sent you some HHI info! :thumbsup2

It is just what I needed to ratchet up my excitement level!

The farmers market looks awesome. I love stuff like that! Fresh fruits and veggies are the best, especially when you can't possibly grow anything like that yourself. :rolleyes1 No green thumb here!

No green thumb here, too, so I am heavily dependent on our area's farmers. LOL!

What a great update! That place looks cool. I love Connor's pinata! I think he did a fine job haggling. After all - that price was specially for him! :rotfl:

I think that was what sealed the deal for him. :lmao:

I love your CP doll. Now you have to change your avatar and put her picture in there. She is so sassy!

That's a great idea!

Nice HH information. I gotta tell you - I REALLY want to go there. I almost went in Feb (crazy - I know), but there were some GREAT AP rates there and I was supposed to go to NC with Brian for a soccer tournament. I'm glad I never made the reservation because the whole tournament got snowed out.

Oh, I love the beach in any season! February does have great room rates! I'll go scope out the lay of the land for you this summer! ;)

Connor cracks me up! Do you think he will actually use the Pinata, or let anyone smash it up? Andrew gets so attached to inanimate things-its bizarre- he would probably want to sleep with it like a teddy bear!!!!

Connor and Andrew would get along so well! Connor has the pinata beside his bed and puts a blanket over it at night. LOL!

I love your new Madame Alexander doll- you have a wonderful mommy!

I think so, too! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear about your HH trip..I would love to do that this summer but I just have to think about how I can present the idea to DH. Right now he is not thinking about vacations since we just got back from Disney, but isn't that the best time to plan for the next Disney vacation!

It's the best way to avoid Disney depression. ;)

Love your new doll. Too funny that your mother added a tiara for her! I love Connor's haggling skills too, and how prepared he was knowing a "good" rate. Too cute! :goodvibes

Connor cracks me up!

Your mom is too smart---How great for her to put a tiara on the doll!

Conner's bargaining skills had me laughing out loud! :rotfl2: Sounds as if you had a fun day.

The tiara just completes her, don't you think?

We had a very fun day, and I love that Connor provided fodder for the trip report with his pinata fixation!

Sounds like you had SUCH a good time at the market!!!! Love the Pinata....he haggled with his eyes Mom....I'm SO sure it really was like $10 whole dollars!!!! ;) So cute!

I know if it were me, those dimples of his would make me drop the price! ;)

LOVE your Disney Mail! I am sure you have poured yourself all over it this weekend!!!

Believe it or not, I have not really had a chance to devote much attention to anything lately except end of the year craziness. That will all change starting Thursday though!

Thanks for the fun update. You have such a cute family. :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

I love the doll, it really is a Charleston Princess! :goodvibes

And I don't know why but I can't get over the pink and blue pinata. It's too cute. :thumbsup2

The things that catch Connor's eye are certainly unique! ;)

Hi Jackie. So what's new. You are probably busy with year end. My son Cody wishes he lived down south. He does not get out until June 22nd up here. He has started the count down though.

Hi! Just trying to get through the last couple of days of post-planning, so I can REALLY start my summer vacation!

Just remind Cody he probably doesn't go back until after Labor Day. Our students' first day of school is August 4.

Hey I started my first ever TR & would love to have you there. You are mentioned on my very first post. And the day I took a pic with Bo I thought of you!!:)

I will definitely head over there! :goodvibes

School ended for students on Friday, and I have to work three days this week. I am a little sad, too, not to be planning a Disney trip this summer. It feels kind of weird since we have gone for the past three years.

I was so thrilled to see that I was only 2 pages behind after being gone for a few weeks! :woohoo: You must be drowning in end-of-school year activites too. I am beginning to wonder if May is even busier than December! It's been crazy lately. I hope things will settle down in a few weeks. Then we can both get back to more important things, like dissing! ;)

Drowning is exactly how I feel right now!

Things are bound to calm down soon, right?

Hi Jackie,

Are you all done with school? Chelsea and Connor must be thrilled.
We still have 5 LONG weeks left. And my class has a video to shoot. I hope it passes by VERY quickly.

Almost done! I have today and tomorrow of post-planning then, I am done, done, done!

Your five weeks might go by pretty quickly -- I think my last five did.

I just saw your post about salt air and Mickey Waffles!!

AHHHHHHHHH, I should have worn that perfume to our dismeet. It smells just like the ocean mixed with flowers. I wear it when I think of the beach!

Hi, Heather! I am in some serious need of some beach time today! Perfume that smells like the beach would be the next best thing!

How did I miss this update?? Lol. Connor is sooo doggone handsome. Yummm for the fruit salad. I cannot wait to read about your trip this summer. We are going to disney for four days and only doing two parks this year. I'm nervous about being in the parks with DS because I am still BF! Yes, he will be 8 months but he's still very clingy when it comes to that. But I know he will love his first trip. Madi's first trip was at 6 months. We start them early! Lol.

I love the doll your mom gave you; so sweet, especially with the tiara! :goodvibes

Thank you! I think she is just lovely! :goodvibes

How did I miss this update?? Lol. Connor is sooo doggone handsome.

Thank you! :goodvibes

Yummm for the fruit salad.

It was very good!

I cannot wait to read about your trip this summer.

I am ready to go now!

We are going to disney for four days and only doing two parks this year. I'm nervous about being in the parks with DS because I am still BF! Yes, he will be 8 months but he's still very clingy when it comes to that. But I know he will love his first trip. Madi's first trip was at 6 months. We start them early! Lol.

He will have a blast! Oh, and starting them early is the best way to go! ;)

Help Wanted:
Man of Few Words Needs Assistance in Crafting Birthday Message for His Main Girl!

BoasLifeguard.jpg

BoasLIfeguard2.jpg

Now that summer is about to officially start for me (I have to work until tomorrow), I can begin planning our Hilton Head Island birthday vacation in earnest. I have lots of posts and updates planned for the eight weeks we have left until we leave.

First order of business is squaring away Bo’s birthday message to Chelsea. As some of you know, MeMom and Jill (with Poolrat’s assistance) helped Bo get all dressed up a couple of weeks ago for the occasion. Didn’t they do an awesome job? ::yes::

Next, I want to take these pictures and create a birthday card for Chelsea that will reveal the trip. She knows we are “probably” going to Hilton Head for her birthday, but she doesn’t know it’s definite. I want Bo’s card to reveal that. I found the most perfect photo card on Shutterfly that is beach themed with balloons tied to a sand pail. The colors match perfectly.

I am drawing a creative blank, though, on how to phrase Bo’s message. Then, I had the brilliant idea to ask all of you super creative DISers for help! What should Bo write in his card? Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
