Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

4 days...woo hoo!! I burst out laughing at Chelsea's toe story....I agree, it probably packed quite the punch, but when I got that visual in my head with her crawling for the remote, I was done:lmao:

That Chelsea kills me. Hooray for a miraculous recovery! Wow - what a long day at MK you have planned! Sounds like fun though, and I wish it was just a week away for me!

She is something else! I can never quite figure out how to get everything we want to do at MK done.

Chelsea cracks me up. I do the same thing with Cooper, my 4 year old. I tell him if he really hurts then he can't go outside to play or whatever. Cures him pretty quickly!! Love the pics of the parade. I absolutely loved it!!

Chelsea was definitely channeling her inner drama queen the other day. I can't wait to see the parade!

The Chelsea story is hillarious!

I had a good laugh over her antics.

I am sure the drama queen has made a full recovery with that threat!!!! hee hee!!!

She still limps when someone is watching, but doesn't limp when she doesn't think anyone is watching.

Ah.......could there be anything better than a day at MK?!?!?!?!?!?! I know no matter where you find yourself on this day, it will be filled with lots of FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!! I got all excited when I saw the pictures of our beloved parade!!! I forgot to tell you what Tom did for me this weekend.......on Sunday morning we were all just hanging around, and he decided he was going to put on some old records for us. I was thinking IN MY HEAD how nice it would be to hear my old Walt Disney World record that has the music on it from the Electric Parade, and all of a sudden....what do I hear coming out of the speakers....you guessed right!!!!! HE PUT ON THE WALT DISNEY RECORD AND THAT WONDERFUL MUSIC FILLED OUR FAMILY ROOM!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! It was both heavenly, and also at the same time a little freaky because I wanted to know desperately how he figured out something that I was thinking in my head!!!! I will be thinking of you next week knowing what a wonderful way you will have to end your evening!!!

Ah, Tom is just the sweetest!!! :lovestruc

Miraculous how that toe healed right up!

I'm so excited for you and LOVING the Magic Kingdom photos. :thumbsup2

I am saddened, however, by something that is not represented.

DSCN2240.jpg

Honestly, what are you thinking?

:lmao: Never fear, Pirates is planned for our second MK day! I wouldn't be able to have a trip that didn't include it!

Oh the healing power Disney World has

Amazing, isn't it? :thumbsup2

:lmao: haha I'm w/ TK....no POC???

I just love walking into that building and hearing the music...I'm all giddy just thinking about it now....

Oh, I love Pirates, too! In fact, there are quite a few rides over in Adventureland and Frontierland that I couldn't pass up!

I love the broken toe story....we have had that issue here a few times...and I've done it too, I'm probably the worst patient of all

 Oh, I hate stubbing my toe and have been known to do it myself.

anyday at MK sounds dreamy....let's hope no rain, small crowds and no blistering heat...

be weary of the in and out of AC...it did me in after our June trip

only 4 more days my friend

Yes, I am hoping for all those things!!!

Oh Chelsea....LOL! What a hoot!! Amazing how quickly she recovered......

It was, wasn't it? ;)

I have broken my toe before and it is no fun, but I think Chelsea's "broken toe" story is so funny. I am not having a great day and needed a good laugh. Also I read this and thought of you http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2010/07/14/taste-of-africa-street-party-photo-tour/. I am jealous of you. It looks like a lot of fun and so yummy.

Glad I could provide a laugh! I am sure her toe hurt, but Chelsea always takes pain to a whole new level. That mango shake looks really good, doesn't it?

Chelsea is too funny! Glad to hear her toe is better. My dark side was thinking if it was broken then she would have a wheel chair and you wouldn't have to wait in as long lines.
Yay, for 4 days!

:lmao: Oh, that thought went through my mind, too! ;)

Woo hoo for 4 days!!!

Chelsea just cracks me up!!! :rotfl2: Amazing how she is all healed now! :yay:
I am so excited for you and your trip....you are going to have a wonderful time and I am thrilled that you ended up being able to go  I can't wait for your reaction to the parade...I only can hope that they will extend it until October it has been ages since I have seen it.:upsidedow

I don't think I have ever heard the dervish used in a sentence :lmao:

Tracy

Chelsea can always provide a few laughs around here. LOL!

I am so ready to see the parade!!!

If you could have seen the way Chelsea was whirling through the kitchen, you would have used dervish, too.

A Disney medical miracle! Hallelujah!! :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I am excited about your entire MK day but most especially about the Main St Electrical Parade!

4 days. Hard to believe your trip is almost here!!

The MSEP is what I am looking forward to the most!

I do have to confess that I had a similar reaction with Evan once regarding his pinky finger. Though he wasn't nearly as dramatic.

It's a sprain...nothing we can do....ice, be careful, wait it out.

Two weeks later we go in.

Fractured.

Oops!

crawling across the floor...I love it!

:thumbsup2 for the parade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Evan! I would have done the same thing as you, though.

In the back of my mind, I was afraid that her actual foot might have been fractured. I figured if she wasn't any better in a couple of days, I would take her to the doctor and make sure. I really didn't think it was broken since there was almost no swelling or bruising by the next morning.

Jackie:

:yay:Your trip is getting so close!

I fell in love with the parade! It is so much fun to watch. The music is fabulous.

Too funny about your daughter!

Erika

Welcome home, Erika!!! So glad you enjoyed watching the parade! I can't wait to see it again!

Another great update!! Thank goodness for a full recovery and that Chelsea will be able to go on the trip after all LOL!!! :rotfl:

OOOH...Magic Kingdom is going to be a great day! You guys always get the greatest pictures there! I love the one with the teacups!

Yes, it would have been a shame if Chelsea wasn't able to go on her own birthday trip, wouldn't it? ;)

Thanks! The one with the kids on the teacups is one of my favorite pictures of them!

:rotfl: Chelsea is too much!
I love your MK plans, especially MSEP. Are you looking forward to any particular treats at the MK? Dole whip? Funnel cake? Ice cream sandwich from the Main Street Bakery?

All of the above. LOL!

:lmao: I love how she crawled across the floor for the remote with her leg in the air in attempts to keep it elevated! THAT had to be quite the sight!

I am very happy to hear she has had a miraculous recovery and will be able to make it to Disney World.

I almost couldn't believe it at that time. LOL!

Ah, MK. How we love you! Looks like a wonderful, fun-filled day! Will it include any certain snacks, like the sought after Dole Whip or the highly coveted cream cheese pretzel?

Oh, yes, MK snacks are a must! I would have to say Dole Whips, cream cheese pretzels, and corn dog nuggets top the list!

I'll just tell you at times the weather was so stinkin' hot, but other times we looked at each other and said can you believe it's July? It wasn't bad at all. So who knows?
It's almost time for Disney Magic for you guys!

I put another little something in the mail for you today, hope it gets there quick!

I am so hoping for the kind of weather you and MeMom and Jill had while you were down there at the beginning of your trip. :thumbsup2 You know how Charles is if it is too hot.

I will be keeping an eye on the mailbox. :goodvibes

I myself have a Hypochondriac Drama Queen, except her name is Morghan and she's only 11. I see from your posts that this stage may last awhile, eh? Lovely. LOL!!

Oh, yes, it last awhile. ;)

Your MK day looks like a lot of fun! I think brunch is such a good choice. You get into the parks and get a few things under your belt and then you're ready for a little sit down in the air and get to snap a few character autographs. Perfecto! :)

I love the idea of brunch! It comes highly recommended from Happydog!

Due to your Whirling Dervish comment I have had "How do you Solve a Problem like Maria?" in my head since I read your update! :rotfl:

"She can throw a whirling dervish out of whir!"

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Chelsea is very much a Maria in many ways!!!

Your story about Chelsea made me laugh out loud....too funny! :rotfl2:

Sounds like you have another great day planned..............YAY for the Main Street Electrical Parade!!! :yay:

She cracks me up -- this morning she was all, "Look, Mom, I can wriggle by toe with absolutely no pain now!" :sad2:

Can't wait to see the parade! It's the thing I am most looking forward to on the trip!

Wait, you didn't include in your 1 week from today "Driving through Atlanta" - isn't that everyone's favorite part of a trip!?

:lmao:

We live on the north side of the city, so we do drive smack dab through it all. Luckily it will be Sunday morning, so maybe we won't hit any traffic. ;)

Brooklynn likes to wear 3D glasses upside-down, too.

I see many similarities between our Chelsea and Brooklyn. ;)

Jealous. Love that place!

We haven't eaten there in about five years, so I am looking forward to it!

One of my favorite pictures of your kids! :)

It's one of my favorites, too! :goodvibes

Have I said how excited I am for you?

If not:

Hey! :cheer2:
I am so excited for you! :dance3:

Thank you! You might say I am a little excited, too.

If I didn't think that you have already written all of your "next week on this day.." updates and just have to copy&paste, I'd be taking bets on whether you'd be able to keep up with updating for the next 3 days, Jackie! Are you trickin' us? You must be SO Busy this week.

I usually write the updates the day before, so I can just post them in the morning. As far as the business, it hasn't been too bad so far. Sunday, I sat down and divided everything that needed to be done over the next week by day, so I wouldn't get overwhelmed. Saturday is going to be the busiest between Chelsea's actual birthday and trying to pack and such.

Just jumped on board! Great PTR. Can't wait for the actual TR! Just a few more days! Hope you all have a blast! Oh, I know you will! :D

Welcome!!! Glad to have you here!!!

Looks like a great day at the MK! Oh Chelsea..........Lol :) I wish that I could be there to see the main street electrical parade!!! 4 DAYS!!!!

Chelsea was cracking me up with her melodrama!!!

:rotfl2:

I love that picture of connor and chelsea on the tea cups! I remember that. You need to get the same picture (face painting included) of them this year. Great pictures. Makes me want to be at the MK now!

Thank you! That was one of my favorite pictures ever -- they look so happy getting ready to spin! :goodvibes

I have the Electric Parade as my phone ring, did I tell you?? SO now all next week I will think of you when I hear it!! :goodvibes

I think I need that ringtone!!!

MK day sound FABULOUS!!!! Where are the dole whips? the cappuccino floats? SNACKAGE at MK.... gotta get that in!!! Cream Cheese pretzels, right LL??!!

Oh, yes, there will be lots of snacking at MK! Never fear!

Love all the Fantasy land rides... YAY for a CP bunch for CP and Company! ;)

Can't wait! I plan to eat like a pig (or is it a piglet at CP? :lmao:)

I guess I'm a mean mom, too! :rotfl2: I do that to my kids, too! I just have a really hard time feeling sorry for someone who gets hurt while being mean... :rolleyes1

Your plans sound great! I hope the rain holds off for you!

That's just it! If she had hurt her toe in any other circumstances, I "might" have been more sympathetic.

If it has to rain while we are down there, I hope it isn't at night when we are supposed to see the parade!

YAY for 4 days! and that cracks me up about the toe incident! I swear that was such a funny story and I'm glad she made a full recovery! ;)

I truly wish I could have gotten a picture of her crawling across the floor!

I have it too. It makes me happy when it rings.:goodvibes

As for Fireworks, it is worth it to see them at the hub and from the Poly if possible. At the hub you can see all the perimeter fireworks that you can't see if you are just on Main street. Also at the Poly you can see the perimeter fireworks and don't have to turn your head to see them all.

The hub was super crowded but the effect was worth it. If you really hate the crowds go to the Poly but the secret is out so get there early.

where's that address????

We will be headed to the hub for the fireworks, then! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Sent you a PM last night! :goodvibes

I've got an 8 year old hypochondriac drama queen so I know that song and dance routine! I'm an even meaner mommie because as the the whining increases I look at Hannah and say "Guess we're just going to have to amputate it." That usually does the trick!

I really hate you didn't have the camera when Chelsea was crawling across the floor! Glad she's recovered enough to still go on the trip!

Your MK day looks like it will be fun. I'm sure you've got POTC scheduled for your 2nd MK day...right?! ;)

I used to try the amputation angle when the kids were younger, but they don't believe me anymore. :rotfl:

Chelsea crawling across the floor with her leg still up was one of the funniest things I have ever seen her do!

Yep, POTC is scheduled for the second MK day! :thumbsup2

I love the Chelsea toe drama! Those things happen here all the time with Sarah. I am also the mean mom who says she'll have to miss out on whatever (and the healing is so much faster then!), or we'll have to amputate (and I induce more tears!)

FOUR DAYS!!! (gosh by now it's almost three!)

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Chelsea was really disgruntled when she called my MIL because she was supposed to go pick out paint with her. However, when my MIL heard she was hurt she said they would have to reschedule.

4 days...woo hoo!! I burst out laughing at Chelsea's toe story....I agree, it probably packed quite the punch, but when I got that visual in my head with her crawling for the remote, I was done:lmao:

I know I have crumpled to the floor before when I have stubbed my toe, but I can honestly say I have NEVER crawled across the floor afterwards. :lmao:

Oh how I wish you had gotten a pic of her crawling! :rotfl2:

Me too! :rotfl2:

3 days!!!!!!!!!!!

party:

'morning, Jackie! Are you awake yet??? We want to hear about your plans for next-week-this-time! popcorn::

I am awake now! :goodvibes Getting ready to post! :thumbsup2

If I don't get back on here before you leave, Have a GREAT time!!! Can't wait to read all about it!~ Happy bday to Chelsea.. Rick and Lauren just got back from Disneyland and they loved it! Thought POC was the best ever there.. Was cool to hear the differences.

Just wanted you to know that I didn't defriend you, I am taking a much needed FB break if you noticed or wondered lol. :)

I didn't have time to respond yesterday but I did read about the toe drama. Seriously, Chelsea keeps me so entertained!! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Great plans all around. They all seem so similiar. ;)

Oohhh Tower of Terror at night! How fun!

I really hope Bo is back. I'm not sure how Chelsea will cope if he's not. Any way to find out if he's there this week? Maybe we should lobby Disney to install a webcam pointed at Bo.

We live on the north side of the city, so we do drive smack dab through it all. Luckily it will be Sunday morning, so maybe we won't hit any traffic. ;)

Always love warning people about driving through my city! U am slightly north of the ATL as well. Tell people to forget about driving through on a Friday - rush "hour" lasts from 6am to 7pm!!! :rolleyes1

I just love that picture of Charles and Chelsea rocking out! I remember that trip. Charles turned from Disney Grump to Closet Disney Fan. ;)

I hope Bo is back...:sad2:

That is one cool night time picture of ToT. Love it! :thumbsup2

also love the pictures of the kids. they are both so stinkin cute! And they must be getting soooooooo excited by now!

This is gonna be a great day for you guys! I never really "got" DHS until this past trip; now I'm completely in love with it! You didn't mention Beauty and the Beast or Fantasmic; will you be seeing either of them?

3 days! Woo Hoo!! :woohoo:

The Chelsea story just cracked me up. I can see either of my nieces doing the same thing. You just have to love young drama queens. :)

Alright, I'm glad you clarified that whole Pirates thing. I was beginning to get worried. ;)

So the DHS day looks like SO much fun. I don't know why, but for some reason those pictures just got me really excited for this trip for you. :goodvibes
