have a 16 year old that wants to dress up. We are going to try to cook in the villa this trip and save $$.
Would this be a good option for her to dress up?

Are the fireworks really good from here?

You don't need to dress up to go to the lounge. We've seen people in sweats and t-shirts (and kids in PJ's). If she want's to dress up, let her, but I'd save it for another time. Dinner out? Boardwalk maybe? The only time we dress up is when we're going out to Narcossee's or some place like that (when we're there with family and when we can get babysitting, lol!)

I think it's the best place outside of the MK to view the fireworks. You have a direct view of the castle, and can even make out some of the "painting" that they do on the castle itself.

Another thing, you can see Tink fly from that perspective!:thumbsup2

I have seen people dressed up and obviously leave in time to make a dinner reservation at a nice restaurant. But I think the majority are just dressed casually. Perhaps it would be better if she brought a nice casual outfit.

Although the view is a bit different, they do dim all the lights and pipe in the music. I love the view from there!

Why does she want to dress up? Does she want the "fancy" look or is she expecting to be where everyone else looks fancy? She will likely be the only person who dresses up to visit the lounge, but if course if that is what she wants to do, she is welcome to do so.

yes, she just wants to dress fancy :)
This is her first trip so she doesn't yet understand it is very casual everywhere we go.

Dont forget your DVC Card!

Oh, that card is always with me in WDW! Forgot my AP at home, and didn't bring my DVC card with me, to the park, when I tried to get a replacement AP. Man, it was convoluted trying to get a new one. Had to talk to MS and answer all sorts of security questions.

I think it's wonderful she wants to dress up, and while most viewers there will be casual, I have seen dressier outfits, as well. Have fun making those dreams come true!
