TOTWL is not owned by WDW its owned by DVC and operated by WDW, so I'm sure it will not get any Incredible themingCR is undergoing some rennovation, is it not? The Incredibles theming? Perhaps the TOTWL will get a little freshening up too? (please note I used a question mark at the end of each sentence)![]()
Me too!Given that the food options are provided by the Wave which is closing July 16th, I wonder if they won’t open the lounge until after that opens again,
Now, they could just open the observation deck which would be fine for me!

Did I see that the Wave is getting Incredibles theming or was it a bad dream?
Well the restaurant is closing for a period of time, I think it was unknown exactly what they were going to do to it. I'm surprised to learn that The Wave was the food supplier for TOTWL. Has it always been? It's been several years since we hit TOTWL but the food choices were definitely underwhelming, not up to Wave standards at all.Did I see that the Wave is getting Incredibles theming or was it a bad dream?
That’s a rumor/speculation, based on the known Incredibles theming the CR guest rooms are getting.Did I see that the Wave is getting Incredibles theming or was it a bad dream?
We just ate at the wave and our waiter pre COVID worked in the TOTWL and was really hoping that since the wave was closing he would get his old position back instead of being reassigned again. He said he heard the wave will be a steakhouse as a nod to the old concourse steakhouse where contempo is now. I asked the hostess is they were going to change the name she said no it will still be the wave vs. our waiter who said it will be renamedDid I see that the Wave is getting Incredibles theming or was it a bad dream?
Wow, we miss the Concourse Steakhouse! It was often a first-night meal for us, as it was a bit more quiet/less hectic, and we enjoyed the food. We sure do like The Wave menu though, I hope they can include many items they offered at closing.he heard the wave will be a steakhouse as a nod to the old concourse steakhouse where contempo is now.
TOTWL doesn't have a full kitchen attached. So the food options are limited to what can be brought over efficiently from Wave.I'm surprised to learn that The Wave was the food supplier for TOTWL. Has it always been?
We go for #1 the view of fireworks, #2 the Chocolate Cake! and #3 the Chocolate Cake!TOTWL doesn't have a full kitchen attached. So the food options are limited to what can be brought over efficiently from Wave.
When you think about it, this explains why most of it is not hot or has one element that can be microwaved.
Or people wanted and tried to spend money, but there are only 20 seats and one CM behind the bar and a huge line. Honestly, they do not do a good job to attract guests up there to spend money. The DVC advertisement says basically go up there and watch fireworks. We were up there one time and just barely caught the last monorail back to VGF.I heard the TOTWL won't be opening. If it does it will be a pay event in the evenings (for fireworks). Just the rumor I heard. Because they staffed it but didn't get many guests until fireworks time (and many of those just came to see fireworks and didn't spend much). Not a money maker.
And the Wave....I heard it's doing like Artist Point did and reopening with characters and prix fixe menu, maybe. Just what I heard.
We stayed at BLT in recent years once. We went up there a couple times. And it was tough to get a seat and to get drinks because of limited staff and an influx of people. But hard for them to staff extra CMs for just 1 hour as that's basically when it's busy. We once popped in around 4pm and were THE only ones in there. Was so weird.Or people wanted and tried to spend money, but there are only 20 seats and one CM behind the bar and a huge line. I check in on the 1st and I am hoping the deck will be available. Have they had the doors locked during the pandemic? On a prior visit when I had a room on the MK side of the top floor I was able to use the observation deck to get to the elevators on the Contemporary side...Given that the food options are provided by the Wave which is closing July 16th, I wonder if they won’t open the lounge until after that opens again,
