Top Hats--Updated 7/9--Added pic w/ears attached!

Since the Mickey top hat groom ears are no longer available my DH decided he'd like to make his own. For anybody else interested in doing this, I just ordered what looks like a nice silk top hat on Ebay for $15.97/Free Shipping. The link I have here takes you to size small but I see other sizes in their Ebay store.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why they discontinued these? And are they going to perhaps replace it with another design hopefully!

Usually it's due to lackluster sales, though you never would have guessed based on the adoration on the various Disney wedding-focused message boards. The top hat was nominally replaced by these outlandish mouse ears, which are turning out not to be such a hit on the message boards but have been spotted on dozens of hapless fellows in the parks.

Until Disney comes up with an alternative, I just keep recommending people make their own top hats or baseball caps with ears.

Not sure how the quality compares, but looking at the photo of one being offered on Ebay, I think DH's looks better!!
