Interestingly, here is what Colicchio had to say about Amanda v. Kenny:



I think Kenny is a good chef but the testosterone is too much for me.
I totally agree with you!!
I like Tiffany but really, this seems like a fairly weak group, especially following on the heels of last year's stellar group.

I really like her and Ed too.

I just don't have a favorite this season, they all just seem sort of amaturish. I can't stand Angelo when he says things like, "I really liked the salmon, I am going to make a very sexy dish, since this salmon is so sexy." I find him a bit creepy.
KEnny seems okay, but he seems to ALWAYS do things "2 ways" or "3 ways." "I'm doing a scallop 2 ways" or "I am doing beef 3 ways." It's like he is going for quantity over quality.

Again, nobody seems to really stand out.

Kenny is annoying with that. Also Angelo when he was talking about the duck last week. ewww.

In agreement with all of you. No one stands out to me either. It seems like everything they make is so "saucy" and "messy".

I guess lately I am really taking notice of it because I am ordering sauce on the side in a chain restaurants. It seems like drowning your dishes in sauces seem to be the main theme this season.

IDK, maybe it is me but the dishes seem unappetizing.

I like Tiffany, and her pesonality is nice too. She always seems positive and happy.

I couldn't believe he actually won on it. I know its cut throat but i can't remember EVER seeing another chef steal part of somebody else's dish before

And I wanna know where the 10% of voters went that texted in went when we watched him with the puree? No contest the man stole it outright.

Yes, they never showed him putting the peas in any type of blender/food processor to puree. Nor, did any of the chefs seem to see it. No one heard a whirring sound? So one saw the blender pitcher in the sink to be able to stick up for him?

I knew the chef going home was probably going home. They showed her interviewed a one too many times during the quickfire.

I have to say, I don't agree with Tom. I think the producers should have stepped in.

One of Tom's scenarios doesn't work. He couldn't have accidentally taken the puree out of the cooler because he didn't make any the day before! Therefore he either knowingly took it or made his own.

I think Ed would have spoken up had he been in the bottom 3, but figured he probably wouldn't gain anything by making an accusation he couldn't prove.

We were hoping the producers would have asked Alex how he made the puree!
